If we are taking any ex bulls, I think Deng and Noah would be useful. Both guys can give us a solid 5-10 minutes a night of actually knowing what to do on the floor outside of scoring. They would probably make watching Crawford more palatable on the defensive end.

When thinking of Deng, we need to remember that he's a power forward/stretch-four. He hasn't been a small forward for several seasons now dating back to before his last season in Miami.

In my opinion none of those ex Bulls are worth a shit anymore. They would do more harm than help.

As for the Rose to Minnesota rumor, I don't get it. I don't think I'd trade any of our point guards in a one for one swap for him. And he's one of my least favorite people/players in the league.
I didn't know that, although On/Off ratings can be prone to sample size issues. Hood seems like a classic wing shooting/scoring type that theoretically is a very good fit with Rubio. Weird.

I would be open to upgrading MGH and his spot minutes as our current 10th man, but I'm not sure who would be willing to take that kind of role and how good they'd be.

Wth bjelly getting more sf, having a smart guy like deng is a whole lot better than our other options.
It will be interesting to see the buy out candidates.

They -- former Bulls -- likely wouldn't play more than MGH or Aldrich does now, if we're being honest. The rotation is set. We need a bench wing, but we've been getting by with Crawford/Bjelica.

That's a move that could rock the boat in a negative way and it's not at a position of need. I continue to think the rumors about Thibs bringing former players back are amped up way too much. We heard trade rumors last year of Rubio for Rose and they weren't even close to being true.
We'd be better suited to go after Marco Bellineli very aggressively, and even re-sign him in the offseason. Pursuing Tony Allen could be another route. Both options are viable and much more conducive to winning than a reunion with an inefficient, defensive liability and non-shooting scorer like Rose.
I agree with Cam I think the narrative of Thibs being interested in certain players are overplayed. Do I think he has interest in Rose? Yes I think he would. Thibs doesn't BS around when he talks about guys. He and Rose were VERY close when they were in Chicago together. He talks glowingly about Rose. Does that mean he will go out and sign him? Let's wait and see. Jon K has said recently it's pretty hard to get information from the Wolves as Thibs and Layden are pretty tight lipped. Wolfson did mention on a podcast or 2 that he was at a gophers game with someone from the Wolves and mentioned the supposed Blake Griffin for Towns offer from the clippers and he said the Wolves guy literally almost died from laughing and said there was absolutely no offer like that.
Marco would be a guy that makes a lot of sense and....he is a Thibs guy!!! Lol

On the lowe post, he said that there was an offer made by the Clippers Griffin for Towns was true because teams think they can swindle Thibs because everyone thinks he just wants to win now. Wolves hung up right away but the Clippers did offer.
With the Rose thing, I really hope it is not true, because it just doesn't make any sense, you can make a big argument that Brooks is better than Rose because he can at least hit a 3 point shot. Its not even like Rose and Tyus could play together and even if they could play together that moves Crawford to the 3. Also if we ran Rose and Tyus together I will be pissed just for the fact that we never have ran Tyus with Teague all year.
We will see but I really trust Jon K on this, even last year when Stien was reporting the trade of Rubio for Rose he was saying that nothing was close, now Jon K is saying he thinks it will happen.
Just makes no sense because PG is probably our most solid position we have in terms of depth. An average starting PG, and above average backup Pg and a solid 3rd string Pg.

No he's not. Brooks can hit threes, can still move and doesn't have attitude issues. Other than that.... :). Honestly, Thibs can't be that dumb.
