One of Teague worst games in a while but we survived it.
Good job over .500 on the year.

It was a must-win in my book and we won. I'll take it. Was it close than it should have been? Yes. Is our bench too thin, forcing us to rely solely on Crawford as our backup win with Butler down? Yes. But nice to win with Teague having a terrible night shooting. And really nice to see Wiggins come awat with 10 rebounds and 2 steals while hitting his free throws. Keep it going Andrew!

Towns had a Towns-like game, but Bjelica was the unsung hero of the game. He made so many bailout shots. Bjelica as a starter is everything we thought we'd get from him when he came over from Turkey.
Wiggins didn't have a great game but 11 rebounds proves he can be a good rebounder if he just put forth the effort. He was aggressive on the boards and knew to attack when the team needed a bucket.
Foul on Ntilikina aside, Taj Gibson keeps showing us that he's been the third best player for us this season. Steady.
Jeff Teague coulda scored any basket he wanted but chose to be passive tonight and it affected his game. Our backcourt was a major weakness tonight. Can Teague and Wiggins PLEASE stop passing in the air? The Knicks may have had 5 breakaway layups off that kind of turnover alone.
Jamal Crawford seemed determined to shoot us out of this game. He makes one shot and he wanted to iso and take heat check jumpers. He really summed up where he is as a player.
Gorgui Dieng is pretty much Bazz had we paid him. It sucks to watch.
Ran into Benz and Jim Pete after the game. Very approachable. Saw Frank Layden as well as Karl Towns' parents. Towns loves to show out near his hometown. First win at MSG for him.
All in all, I'll take it and I hope they match my win total for them tomorrow night in Philly. 9 games left, no reason why they can't go 7-2 or 6-3 at worst.

Imo, hes a perfect complement to our team as a 3/4 off the bench. He can play off butler and/or wiggs. Bjelly is a smart defender and an excellent glue guy, a bigger ingles.
Hed also be excellent as the 4 playing with butler and wiggs. I love taj, but he is slowly wearing down as the season goes. Bjelly wound help taj conserve some energy. He could even start at 4 and allow taj to come off the bench and finish games.
Unfortunately diengs contract might hinder us for resigning bjelly and that's going to suck.

I don't think we can afford to lose Belly, Hopefully he signs close to 5 mil a year. With not many teams having cap space this offseason. Belly is one of 2 players on the team that has a consistent 3pt shot and its not like we can go out and find those type of players.
The thing what sucks is we gained a 1st in the Rubio trade and that is a good thing but we will probably have to give up a first in the future to get rid of Dieng contract. Pretty much making it a wash of picks.
