Lol There isn't many players of any that play like Westbrook in the entire league. I get the desire to see Wiggins give more effort but man that's going a bit far. You call some people Wiggins apologists but it's threads like this that just look like people are absolutely just out to pile on the guy thread after thread post after post often with nothing new said.

Having said that these boards are partly here for people to process various parts of being a fan. I get to an extent where the people frustrated by Wiggins are coming from. To be honest he isn't even my type of player. Really for the most part he is not. I've just seen so many "talented" guys that turned out to not actually have much talent to begin with. That's not Wiggins. He isn't a guy that's just had a month or 2 of good play. He isn't undersized under athletic etc. The guy is going to at least be an above average wing player and look at the league and you can see how valuable that can be. I'm willing to wait things out and the reality is that he isn't going anywhere so I'm wling to look for the bright side but I've always known the guy isn't perfect.

I did like SP's post though. It was a bit of a new perspective on how he views Wiggins and his history of players with this team.

The comparison is just effort. Every single player in the NBA can be caught looking bad at times. No doubt about it. Wiggins is on the bottom end of trying or gives a crap. That's why Glen Taylor called him out before offering up the money. That's why I've heard 4-5 times on ESPN different analysts saying Wiggins doesn't try hard enough. That's why KG said you have to motivate him then he takes over for a couple minutes in practice. This is not defensible by you guys, which is why I don't understand you trying to do so.

So yes, Wiggins blows compared to his talent, that is no question. On the other hand guys with not as much talent make the most out of it. Guys like Kawhi Leonard who was a mid 1st round guy. Guys like Jimmy Butler who was a late 1st.

I dont think he is soft, but I do think he lacks a motor.

Lacking a motor does not equal soft.
