Although I wonder if KAT's focus would change since Love would carry a big load of rebounding and scoring. May be he'd be further along as a defensive presence than he is today, where Gorgui seems to do all the dirty work.

That's it. So this is my answer to every "Would you trade Wiggins for".
Add these to the list for me:
Gobert, Drummond, PG, Cousins, Butler, Harden, Griffin, and Green.
These are fair lists but basically these lists show the value of Wiggins. The guys people would be willing to swap for Wiggins are basically untouchable guys. Those teams aren't trading those guys just like the Wolves aren't going to be trading Wiggins.
Yes, they are fair lists but they still reflect a calculus that assumes a lot more improvement from Wiggins, because he's less productive than pretty much every player mentioned here. His value is still 60% results and 40% potential in my opinion.

Sure that's because he is also a few years younger than a lot of the players people have listed.
The whole point I was trying to make is teams tend to have good players young or otherwise that they aren't going to trade because they are good-really good and have invested in them etc. Wiggins is one of those guys for the Wolves until i hear something significant the other way. It's obvious to me the way Thibs is coaching him he has a ton of confidence in his talent. Wiggins has said all the stuff you want to here about playing here blah blah and every report I've ever heard says Wiggins Towns and Lavine get along really well and their games can certainly compliment each other. Teams don't trade guys like Wiggins unless they have their hands forced either by contract or having too many players at a position and therefore have to make a deal. The Wolves are nowhere near that right now and if they were sure they could probably get a good player back but that's not going to happen unless something dramatic changes. I get why people consider moving Wiggins but so think the reality is it's reallly unlikely to happen for a bunch of reasons and I think the people considering moving Wiggins even in theory are underestimating them.
I agree Monster that it's highly unlikely they move Wiggins. Most of what we do here is pure speculation and there are many folks that believe LaVine and Wiggins are somewhat redundant in that they (should) play the same position and have similar weaknesses (e.g. neither do well in the "do shit" stats or defensively).
But yeah, Thibs isn't going to jump ship on his core in the near future. He will give them every opportunity to improve and succeed before making a move.
