I never said you were wrong. I like Russell and don't think last night showed that he can't play in the NBA. I think he did alright for a rookie who is starting at point.

I just don't see it happening for Russell with the Lakers. I will admit I am wrong. It was written in pen the minute Towns won the tip off.

i think it is safe to say that there are quite a few rookies looking better than Russel and if he want to be NBA starter quality guard he has a long and painful growing process ahead of him, that said no young player should be called a bust before his third season is in the books, even bleed should get few more chances before we cut him completely

Bleed's going to have to play his way out of the doghouse. Just needs to focus on preparation and I think he will be all right.

I think it's way too early to label Bleed a bust. Yes, his draft support for Russell looks like a bad call right now, but Bleed was also one of the first, if not the first, to condemn trading a first round pick for Payne. That call looks pretty good right now.

The fact is we don't really know what bleed's floor or ceiling is right now, or what his legacy will be when he finally hangs it up. Conventional wisdom says a poster needs 5000 posts before you really know how good he is going to be. Let's give this promising guy a chance before we call him a bust.

I just don't see it happening to him as a Laker. Just a bad bad fit. I was thinking after the finals he was close to a Stephen Curry type player. The odds are not looking favorable now. I think if he would have landed with the 76ers he would have put up some great numbers this year and had some momentum. I will admit I got caught up in the small ball and guards run the league and after watching Rubio miss most of the year I was ready to move on. It is still a game one by guards though. It just happened to be that Rubio was the best guard on the floor. I am looking forward to him lining up against Mudiay and Lillard.

Note: I also said Joe Young/Guillermo Hernangomez would be better then Tyus Jones. ( I have said would taken Portis over LaVine if he would have came out after his freshman year.

A lot of this stuff is not full baked and I am curious to see how it plays out.

I'd be willing to agree with you if bleed was a 19 year old rookie but at this stage in his development I just don't think he's got room to grow. I will say his post are easy to read as he does use punctuation and spacing well so perhaps he could develop into a solid role player.

Bleed still has 20-30 more years left in him as a forum poster. We still have a lot of time to evaluate his talent. We sure don't want him to take his talent elsewhere and see him explode on another board..

I don't have the specifics in front of me but I think we have Bleed locked in at a pretty low contract for a few years. I say hold onto him. We haven't done well in the draft so it's not like we can easily replace him.
