More Wiggins and Lavine workout video

If we're playing against a pickup team from accounting next year, we should be good!

Here is what I am hoping for...and this basically pertains to Wiggins. I want confidence....I want swagger, and I want him to have thick skin. His skill set is off the charts, and with Thibs, both him and LaVine will benefit with a defensive tenacity. For Wiggins, he has always been soft between the ears, just like in Kansas when he was benched in the clutch. His biggest challenge this summer is to get mentally strong, I would staple myself to KG and get schooled in every vet way possible.....and to make that little kick back fade away a money shot!! For me....I want to see Wiggins take back the #1 spot from KAT and become the BMOC in Minny.

Lavine on the other hand looks smooth and lengthy. If he can continue to shoot behind the arc like he did in the last 1/2 of the season and grow upon that...then I personally feel with Dunn's aggressiveness and Ricky's dish game will lead Lavine to the biggest jump in production, perhaps Most Improved Awards.

KAT also looks like he is working hard, but still looks like he is growing and filling into his body. Gained weight but in the rear end, not across the shoulders. Hate to say he is looking soft physically and for a 19 year old Im not concerned. Hopefully that translates to a greater center of gravity and post presence to make him the new aged Total package Hybrid.

I love seeing the Youth working hard, this is exactly the mentality the organization needs and even if we don't add big names, we need lunch pale quality salaries to step up like the Blazers youth did this past year. GO GET ALLEN CRABBE, OR GERALD HENDERSON and Thomas Robinson and call it a summer.

I'm not sure how one works on his motor, as you and Wildwolf implore Wiggins to do. Certain skills can be improved, but motor seems much more innate.

I hope he works on his 3-point shooting and ball handling (which it looks like he's doing). A consistent outside stroke would make him a very, very dangerous offensive weapon.

When did I mention motor? I'm hoping the dude works on his muscle between the ears.

Understood, but I thought you were implying a similar thing: Motor, mental toughness, get-after-it....whatever term you want to use.

I'm actually not too worried about his confidence and instincts in clutch moments, as he's shown the ability to rise to the occasion in his very young career. Since he was thrust into the spotlight as our #1 option starting in his rookie year, he's already had quite a bit of experience in being "the guy" down the stretch. That should pay dividends in the future when the stakes are a lot higher.

The problem for me (and others) is that he tends to gear down during stretches throughout the game. That can affect whether the game is close or not to begin with, so it's frustrating when he gives up on plays or lopes along in transition when everyone knows he could notch up another gear or two....just not sure that will ever be fully resolved.

In Wiggins defense, what have we actually played for. His first season we were obviously tanking and he was our number 1 option at 19. we were tanking most of last season as well until Sam decided he needed to win to keep his job. I'll reserve judgment on his drive until after this season when we are likely actively trying to win and are actually in the playoff hunt.

Mmmm, may be I need to be more precise, as I think overall Wiggins is driven to be a great ball player and puts in the work.

It's more of an in-game thing to me. He just doesn't instinctively kick it into high gear often enough for my taste.
