I'd prefer Tyus Jones to start ahead of any of those Free agent PGs you listed LST. He led a team of scrubs to the Summer League final. Not point halting Jones and Dunns development for a one year rental that probably wouldnt bring much more to the table.

And I'm not entirely convinced Thibs is in 'win now mode'. If he was I think we would have seen alot more moves during the offseason. I think he's playing it cool and seeing what hand of cards he has first. This has impressed me as I was scared he would blow up the roster.

Agree with all that Kiwi. I think there would be negligible difference if any at all. Dunn projects to be more NBA ready right now then Mudiay was. Dunn's athleticism along makes him better than those vets/journeyman.

Or Shaun Livingston. How much would you pay Shaun Livingston if he was a FA? I would do 10 million per that a couple more million than the mid level will be. Turner may be a bit more dynamic than Livingston. I think Turner still got too much money but he is a guy that could be pretty valuable especially if the Blazers can teach him to shoot which seems like a possibility. Lol

I agree that it doesn't seem like Thibs is in a win now mode. I do think they were probably thinking if they could get a Norris Cole or Chalmers type that's more of a fringe starter pretty good backup for cheap that's not a bad thing especially since those guys probably would be very easy to move. Like LST said there will probably be a vet available if they get desparate for a PG. I think they are going to give the young guys a chance to play. I don't know if Tyus or Dunn will be better than an old vet but I know this after Rubio and Rush there is very little experience when it comes to perimeter players. Lots of talent but man it's young and inexperienced. If Rubio went down...hopefully guys would be up to the task and the coaching staff would have them ready. Adding a vet perimeter player of some sort makes a lot of sense.
