The minutes Zach LaVine played with Ricky Rubio vs Bulls showed a lot of promise. Having 2 PNR options is dangerous.

It is what they saw early in the preseason when they declared LaVine the starter and Rubio got hurt.

I agree Belly seems the closest to joining those three. He almost already is with the limited minutes KG is playing, and the likely missed games he will be seeing in the near future. But I don't have a problem with KG starting the remainder of the year for a few token minutes as part of his farewell tour, not to mention he still adds something to the game.
Yeah, Belly is already essentially our main option as PF, as KG is only playing token starter's minutes at the moment, which I'm perfectly fine with. He provides a burst of energy and emotion to get things going and then Belly does a lot of the heavy lifting later in halves.
Our future starting lineup is really starting to take shape: Towns, Belly, Rubio, and Wiggins. It's that 5th starting role that is in question and I agree with you Tim, there is a bit of a b-ball IQ issue with both Shabazz and LaVine that sort of hurts their case. Then again, the Towns-Belly-Rubio-Wiggins foursome may eventually be so good (assuming continued improvement), you could practically slide anyone into that 5th slot and still be OK.

We could be holding that 5th spot open for Durant next season...

He would be an okay 3rd option on this team.

No. I don't want Durant. He needs the ball in his hands too much. And we have Rubio who makes everybody so much better by him controlling the offense. Durant would mess it all up.

Valid point Abe. Sme guys never realize their place in this league and I am sure Durant would struggle in his role on our team as a third scoring option and Rubio being the primary creator.
