Yeah, I like that "all-skinny" lineup, being a tall, skinny guy myself! Rubio, Lavine, Wiggy, KG, and Towns, total combined weight over 1000??

Unfortunately, me and Oliver Miller have a lot in common!

Did someone call my name?

I just spent 15 minutes reading the rubechat board. Yeah, I know, silly me...those 15 minutes of my life are gone forever.

A friend of mine who is a big investment advisor once told me when he knew for sure it was time to short the market..."When the guy who comes into my office at 7pm to empty my wastebasket says 'Wow, the market is really hot...I'm going all in!' ".

Here's how I know for sure Sam Mitchell is a very good coach. Rubechat is 100% in agreement that Sam can't coach his way out of a paper bag.

I'll be surprised if Sam doesn't get exposed by Stan Van Gundy, MN has more talent but Detroit will win. You will be able to point at a few players and say nothing Sam could do about that? I'll watch for game flow and question his starters and substitutions. I'm not calling him the worst coach in the league and would absolutely love to be wrong and see some growth out of him, until then I just keep expecting us to lose to teams we should beat.

I have to comment on this because I was curious what the sentiments were over on these boards after last night's game. It's pretty much the same over at Real GM too.

I admit to being a homer but I have stayed pretty consistent saying that I think Sam is competent as a coach but I wasn't really bought in to him from the beginning as a longish term guy but I don't see how people can't see how this team plays like they can win any game. The defensive improvement isn't just adding a couple guys even though that obviously helps. Sam has done some unexpected things with the lineups and rotations but he has a lot of options with the way this team is constructed and so it's no surprise to me some of the things he has done are not what fans were thinking should happen. We are setting at 7-8 right now and we just swept Atlanta and Rubio hasn't been healthy the entire season. It seems to me Sam has done a bunch of good stuff that should be credited as good. If this keeps up he will have the job for the foreseeable future. Will he be the guy that ends up leading us to a championship? Idk maybe not but he could be the guy to get us to contender status. Maybe we add an offensive guru assistant or maybe we already have one. All I know is I'll take what Sam has been doing so far all day this team is fu to watch and I think Sam and his staff are part of the reason why. They have a lot of work to do still no doubt but to be doing what they are doing right now is pretty impressive.
