Clearly I'm kidding. Tyus would be welcomed here because he is a hometown kid and a pretty decent freshman, but he has certain limitations in his game that he'll never surpass because of his size. Still a late first in my opinion, but the Miami pick would be top-10 in this scenario.

Oh, I agree top-10 would be way early for tyus. Too early for jerian even. Tyus will get extra hype because of the big championship game/mop honors though and will likely go closer to #20 rather than the end of the first like he was projected.

Meh. I like Jerian a lot. He's 16 in DraftExpress' mock (I have him rated 9th). Tyus is rated 21st on DX (I have him 20th).

Ok so seriously would anyone here be interested in andrew Harrison as a 2nd rounder? This may sound dumb but I was too busy watching the other guys I didn't pay much attention to the guards. Did anyone see a PG they think has a chance to be a solid backup at the next level we could get in the 2nd round. I remember really liking dellavedova and it seems like he has done well for himself with the Cavs. I can't think of anyone right now that jumped out at me that will be lower than a first rounder.

I've said this multiple times, but I really like T.J. McConnell and Fred VanVleet.

Jerian is the Best pg in the draft, but with a loaded pg position in the NBA I see him going 12-18. Tyus 16-22.

The problem comes when the Wolves need help virtually EVERYWHERE. So to trade assets to move up in the draft to grab a backup behind one of the positions where the team is sorta capable... I don't know.

Now, if the Wolves believe like Rubio isn't the guy? Sure. But signing him to that contract makes me think they still believe he's a key core guy for the team.

[note: i like jones as a player. not as a franchise changer. but as a capable pg who won't f everything up when he comes in to the game.]

I wouldn't pass the PG if that is the BPA. We have seen how bad this team does when Rubio doesn't play. It is not pretty.

We don't have holes everywhere. We have injuries everywhere. There's a major difference. For example, we have 5 competent to good wings now that Bud has joined the party in Martin/Lavine/Wiggins/Bazz/Bud. We don't need another wing. If this surgery helps Pek deal with the pain he'll be able to play more and we'll only need 1 center, not two. The only holes where there is just nothing there is a starting caliber 4 and a backup PG. We have 4 guys who can backup the 4 in AP, AB, KG and Dieng. Dieng may bulk up and be more of a 5, but that would just balance our frontcourt out more. We don't need help everywhere, we just need to get healthy and fill in the two holes.

We do have holes everywhere because most of the guys you lost are injury prone or on the verge of being that label. I do think Abe has it right you are either all in on Rubio or you aren't. You can't give up a lot to move up to get a backup PG in the first round. Sign a younger vet PG if you want they are always around and cheap because how deep the position is.
