For a franchise is downtrodden as ours, we've put absolutely no effort into making ourselves great at player development.

Well, they did at least compete in this game. They just can't find a lineup that can score and defend at the same time. You just knew that with Bjellly and Shabazz in there at the end, Dallas would find a way to exploit them on defense and they did. On the other hand, without those two out there, I'm not sure we could have gotten ourselves back into the game.

Did Sam just resign? He said he wasn't a defensive guru, and then went on to talk about how poor our offensive is. What is his area of expertise then??

I'd say duping unsuspecting organizations into giving him a head coaching job.
