Auburn was completely overmatched physically, but Towns still dominated this game. Some highlights here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIrvnqdx6Vs

Doug Gottlieb said he would take Big Willy with the first pick.

Umm, no thanks. Again, never trust anyone with a neck tattoo

They are entertainers.

I do like Stephen A's point about if Okafor played for Kentucky he would be the man there.

My concern with Towns is he can't easily beat out WCS. Noel and Randle both were better then him. He has not gotten a ton better this year. Why is Towns not doing what the other freshmen big men did before him?

Towns has great size and seemingly unlimited potential. That scares me more than it excites me. How many "unlimited potential" guys do we see totally flop?

What are you talking about? Towns starts next to WCS. They're a dynamic duo, but because of Kentucky's bigs off the bench in Dakari Johnson and Marcus Lee, the starters aren't asked to play huge minutes primarily because they don't need to.

And while I was a big Randle fan last year, he in no way was the two-way impact player like Towns nor does he have the physical advantages that Towns has. Noel couldn't even hold Towns' jockstrap as far as I'm concerned, and that's not including Noel's injury that sat him for the majority of the season.

We've seen what Towns does when he gets big minutes. He's had six games of 25+ minutes. Here's how those games went:

- @ Lou: 26 mins, 10 pts (3-7 FG, 4-5 FT), 9 rebs.

- @ TAMU: 27 mins, 9 pts (2-5 FG, 5-6 FT), 9 rebs, 3 blks.

- vs UGA: 31 mins, 15 pts (6-11 FG, 3-3 FT), 13 rebs, 3 asts, 2 blks.

- @ FLA: 31 mins, 19 pts (6-10 FG, 7-7 FT), 8 rebs, 3 asts, 2 blks.

- @ LSU: 26 mins, 12 pts (6-13 FG, 0 FTAs), 13 rebs, 2 asts, 2 stls, 4 blks. (game-winning hook shot)

- @ Miss St: 26 mins, 12 pts (4-5 FG, 4-4 FT), 10 rebs, 2 asts, 2 blks.

Per 40 numbers / PER / TS%:

Noel: 13.1 PPG, 11.9 RPG, 2.0 APG, 2.6 SPG, 5.5 BPG / 27.3 PER / .583

Randle: 19.4 PPG, 13.5 RPG, 1.8 APG, 0.6 SPG, 1.0 BPG / 24.5 PER / .567

Towns: 18.3 PPG, 12.9 RPG, 2.2 APG, 1.2 SPG, 4.6 BPG / 29.8 PER / .619

Davis: 17.7 PPG, 13.0 RPG, 1.6 APG, 1.7 SPG, 5.8 BPG / 35.1 PER / .654

Towns is more than fine. If he was consistently getting bigger minutes, perhaps at a different school, he'd have even more hype surrounding him. He's the full package in terms of talent, and when he's been given more slack on the leash, he's shown that he truly is an animal.

Cam - Strong numbers. I am not saying Randle will be better, but he was move productive and played more minutes last year. I am surprised he was the best rebounder of the bunch. I wonder how Cousin looks in that group.
