I wish someone could sit down with Flip and have a nice conversation about wiggins game how he sees it developing and how he would like the team to play basketball as it develops. Until then I just don't know igow to take these "I don't want the 3 point shot to become a major part of his game" comments because they can easily be out of context. What if Flip just wants Wiggins to have a mentality of attack mode pure and simple. Don't think I am totally defending Flip because I am not I just halt at saying he doesn't know that 3 pointers are important etc etc. The personnel he has brought in to this team (and some that he has kept like chase and Martin) runs contrary to that. I am guessing we might get some thought from him on this in the offseason when things have calmed down some and he may be a little more relaxed.

Also comparing wiggins 3 point attempts to guys like Wade and Jordan is interesting because those guys were not perimeter shooters as young guys they were absolutely attacking guys. Kobe was and is when healthy a lot more of a jump shooting type guy. Harden developed as a 6th man so he is a bit of an oditity but Q is right he attacks and shoots 3s which is why he is so deadly. Wiggins is ahead of a guy like Jordon or Wade both in percentage and shots taken but well behind what Lebron did from there in his first couple years and I didn't think he was really a jump shooter. I think Wiggins has a good chance of being a 3 point shooter and utilizing that as a weapon but I do love how he is attacking especially with how raw he looked in SL etc. Usually you want to see the perimeter shot set up your drives but with Wiggins he is doing the opposite guys are going to have to play off him at some point because he will be attacking. I like that. If you told me Wiggins was looking like he might be impossible to stop attacking and he was shooting over 30% on 3's I would be thrilled. It's also tough because he is playing with no post players that get him easy catch and shoot 3's and what guard is setting him up for them either? The answer most of the season is nobody. How many attempts would you like to see out of Wiggins a game?

I fully admit that this season has left me hungry for any good news at all, but this is potentially terrific news for the Wolves. I recognize that initial reports are always that the surgery was successful (have we ever read "player X underwent unsuccessful surgery yesterday"), but the fact that they didn't have to replace the tendon, which would have required at least a year of rehab, is very good. Further, there is some belief that the bone rubbing against the tendon was the reason for Pek's constant pain. Imagine what this does for the Wolves' future if Pek is healthy and pain-free next year, and able to put up 20-10 in 65-70 games?

Exactly and the fact I know someone (granted she's WAY smaller haha) that had a similar issue it gives me a bit of hope that the bone is in fact what the problem is. Them not needing to even repair the tendon is a great sign to me.

Well said Q & Khans. He's able to get to the rim and draw fouls as it is now and that's before he adds some muscle and isn't much of a threat from outside. If he can get stronger while also improving his long range shot the sky will be the limit for this kid. I'd be happy just seeing him in the 3-5 attempts per game range hitting 30% or more. Ideally closer to 35%

Monster, that's example my sentiment regarding Flip as well. It could easily be taken out of context and I find it hard to believe they're all idiots given what we have seen specifically from Wiggins, Lavine and Bazz as far as development goes. I'd love to see someone sit down and talk to him about that stuff as well.

As a big fan of Pek this sounds good but I am not getting my hopes up too high because of his age size etc etc. However if we could get Pek for 50 effective games a year that would help a lot. If this doesn't work then there doesn't seem like there is any other options. Let's hope this works relatively speaking.
