I can assure you guys, if we plan on signing Bjelica to keep, at least one of our PF's is not going to be staying. And I'm not referring to Hamilton or Hummel.

Can somebody help me with the trade rules? If we trade Bennett and his $5.8 million salary, is there a requirement that we take a certain amount of salary back?

We have 3 trade exceptions that could be used

If the team he's traded to has open cap space to absorb his contract the Wolves don't even need to get anything in return. If the team has $3M open then the Wolves would need to take back $2.8M. And if they have a trade exception large enough, again they don't have to send anything back.

I don't know how the Wolves having trade exceptions helps in terms of outgoing players. I don't believe it does.

Jesus, minutes are going to be tough to come by in the front court if this happens. Thankfully(?) Pek will probably miss some time and KG shouldn't play more than 8 minutes a game.

Bennett and Bud for a backup backup vet PG (who, for contract balance will need to be overpaid--hopefully with only one year?), Euro stash, and/or future second rounders. That should round out the roster.

Hell, just buy Bennett and Bud out at this point.
