I know I would prefer a deal with Cleveland for the #1 and Waiters. At least we wouldn't be looking at a full rebuild mode. I also question whether Ricky is willing to re-sign if we go for just draft picks as assets.

No. 1 + Waiters is my top package as well.

Add Bennett to it and I'm sold

I have never been a Bennet fan, but I wonder if we could trade him for another first rounder. Does he have any value after last season?

I'd be all over a deal for 1, waiters and Bennett. At least a couple of us thought Bennett could have been the best prospect in last year's draft, but then he was terrible in his first year. too fat. Could he slim down and be closer to what he was at UNLV?

I think he can still be a player. We would need a stretch 4 to replace Love. If we get the #1 pick, I would want Wiggins. He is the type of 2-way player Flip covets.

I don't think Cleveland does that deal, but it would give us a very interesting team. Draft Wiggins and the MSU PF? Martin could come off the bench.

I still don't understand the love for Bennett. This guy will never be a power forward. He's said that we wants to be a small forward. Jumpshot isn't good enough. Post game has never been good enough. Dominated PFs in college because he was bigger, more athletic than them. That doesn't work in the NBA and it didn't last year. I know he was only a rookie, but I really don't see him becoming a good starter in this league.

I don't know, cam...he's 6-8, 260, and strong. I don't see PF as out of the question for him.
If the Wolves don't think he can play PF, I wouldn't want him. I don't see him ever making it as a SF, and we already have too many.

If only size was all that was required... He's not a good defender at either position and his mentality on offense is to play like a SF, though he's not skilled enough to do that. Does this sound familiar? We just traded away a guy like this who I'd rather have over Bennett... D-Will.
