Don't know much about Hill, but yeah I hope this means Payne is out.

Jordan Hill has been a guy that has always intrigued me but his demeanor is worrisome. I love the contract though, only $4 million a year is very moveable and shouldn't impede our spending next offseason. Like many of you I assume this means the end for either KG, Pek, or Payne (maybe all 3?) I just hope that Belly gets some burn, he and KAT are the only bigs who can stretch out to the three point line.
Remember prime Pek? That guy was pretty fun to watch.

Agreed. And like a couple others here mentioned, it sounds like Thibs is ready to roll with our young core. I just hope he doesn't panic at the all-start break with a trade if we're slow out of the gate. I'm enjoying the thibs/layden era so far.

That was a fun few months. He just over powered people. I remember a game against a young AD and he just owned him.

Others not so much. Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum, who's listed at 7-0 and 285 pounds, expressed relief that foul trouble limited Pekovic to 20 minutes of action in a January meeting.
"Thank God they took Pekovic out of the game," Bynum said.
Bynum is a big boy himself and not even he wanted to bang with Pek!

Pekovic had a stretch in 13-14 before he got hurt where he was absolutely killing it. He even started to develop a little 12-foot jumper and was hitting some turnarounds. I mean, he was improving his game beyond just the seal-offs and little jump hooks. What a shame...

Pek was a joy to watch really. I miss that guy doing his thing and at times crushing guys that were supposedly much more talented that he was. It's a shame he couldn't stay healthy. Another factor that isn't brought up that also makes it a shame is that he seemed like he actually wanted to be here.
Even though his contract ended up being a bad move it turns out because of the way things have played out it really didn't end up hurting the franchise like it could have. A lot of that was good fortune which is nice since Pek didnt end up working out as a player.

Is the second year a team option?

I would think that at that price... it's a player option.
