1. Referred to Bazz as a "prolific scorer" and said he expects big things from him next season.
2. Said Wiggins has done a lot of impressive things at such a young age, but he needs to improve defensively.
3. Said all the players have been in Mpls and met with him. He really spoke highly of Ricky
4. Referred to KAT, Wiggins and Zach as the leaders of the team. Said all three need to step up and fill that leadership role.
5. He was asked if he's spoken to KG and he avoided answering the question directly. Instead, he said we just have to wait for KG to decide but in the meantime "we have to prepare for the future." In other words, whether KG returns is obviously up to KG but Thibs is planning as if KG won't return. By the way, a really good source told me KG hasn't spoken with Thibs.
I liked when he said that some will have to sacrifice their scoring goals for the better of the team.
yep

4. To clarify I think Thibs was talking about leadership from those 3 especially in the sense of them doing the right things on the court. I think that was more what he was referring to them leading the way in particular by example.
5. Interesting Lip on your source.
I agree with you on your interpretation of what Thibs meant by leadership when referring to our three youngsters. In fact, Thibs specifically mentioned playing the right way in reference to them as part of that discussion. I can't remember the specifics, but Thibs mentioned playing hard on both sides of the ball, not resting on defense, sacrificing individual statistics for the good of the team. So Thibs was definitely referring to leadership by example. But he did use the word leadership and he did refer to those three as the team's leaders.

I never thought I would see a half where Tyus Jones "bullied' his man...he clearly enjoyed his size advantage over Ulis! By the way, Ulis has been really good in this tournament, so that was an impressive half by Tyus. 18 points and no turnovers.

Yes well put Lip.
I really like alot of what Thibs says in these spots. What he says strikes me as very Spurs like.

Payne showing his intelligence in purposely missing 2 layups in order to draw the foul on the third :)

Its bizzare that Ullis is a professional athlete and is only 150lbs. I was that weight in like 5th grade. lol

I know...and as they said, 150 may be generous! He's been fun to watch in SL.

I remember when Ty Lue was drafted he was trying to bulk up (and being somewhat succesful as I remember it) and the Lakers put a stop to that and said we didn't draft you to be a linebacker. Keep your quickness.
