Ok I'm on the Wiggins trade train as long as we don't have to pay either in assets or terrible contracts to move him. It's not because Cam Reynolds or KBD is better than him it's just that I agree he isn't good enough better than those guys. The bad news is Wolfson said the other day on Twitter that someone is gonna have to convince Glen to give Wiggins up for nothing. If Ryan still believes in Wiggins that might be another reason Glen May lean towards Ryan keeping the job which could be good or bad.

Now back to Cam Reynolds and also KBD. It wasn't that long ago that KDB was another one of those highly sought after recruits that was basically not doing much in college and was looking at a career in international basketball at best. He has a coaching change stays healthy and becomes big 10 player of the year and was thought of highly enough to be considered a 1st round talent.

Meanwhile Cam Reynolds was just some college player that did the workout circuit a few months ago just hoping for a chance and to most likely get a spot on a G-league team. It's a small sample but I agree I'd go ahead and sign the guy to a deal not only for the rest of the season but if he would do it one of those cheap non guaranteed deals for the next like 3 years. Heck give him like 200k guaranteed for next season if you can get him to one of those Sam Hienke specials. He looks like he can shoot has nice length looks like he has some Sort of clue on defense and plays hard. What else do you want?

The point is that there are guys out there that end up being sort of late bloomers. It would be good to find those and the G-league as a legit minor league and way to actually develop guys instead of just kinda rolling the ball out and throw together some teams is gonna help find more good players and make the game even better. Even the bad teams (like we have been) are gonna luck Into some guys like this. Hopefully we can be better than that. There are a ton of options out there but based on the info I have right now in a small sample I try and keep Cam Reynolds around and see if there is more there. Ryan seems to have been rewarding his play and giving him minutes. Kinda nice to see.

Obviously I was sort of joking about Cam being better, but he seriously could be eventually, heck he might be right now. Wigs regressed this year offensively and he was not great efficiently before either. So yeah I don't think you'd see anyone mad on this board if we could magically just cut him now and not have to pay him. He's got negative trade value I think in most peoples eyes.

I really wish we could have traded him before the deadline just to move forward. I think it would have been best for him and us. A fresh start could do him well, especially after the booing fiasco, his comments after and so on. Fans are getting hard on him to say the least considering he's not living up to either his contract or potential.

I think Wiggins would actually be ok being more of a complementary player but his skillset doesn't match that. If Wiggins was an effective 3 point shooter it would change a lot. Back to the 3 point shooting thing...the Wolves have hit 683 threes so far this season. Towns hit the most with 125 of those. Wiggins is next at 93. Cam in 5 games and 71 minutes has 6. In a little over 2000 minutes (about what Wiggins and Towns have played) Tolliver and Covington would combine for 116. Saric in about 1300 minutes has hit 76. This team need more shooting but its also had guys on the roster either not play (or could have played more) or injures that would help the cause. Bayless gets them up...but isn't making them.

Such a selfish play from Bayless. "I gots to get mine!" No wonder he's nothing more than a stopgap fill-in for bad teams at this point in his career.

Hard to tell? I don't know about that. I'm basing this off what I've seen so far, not just this game specifically. I didn't expect us to win because you're right about us missing a bunch of players. However, there are some things you can control and a coach can have major influence on, mainly defense and effort. Neither of those were present last night, but hey, it could be worse in those categories. We could be the Lakers who might be the most talented team to give such few shits on defense and overall effort that Ive ever seen personally

Are you talking about Zeke or Bayless? Lol I didn't have that much of a problem with the shot. Towns set a good screen and Bayless had an open look at a 3. Maybe some other guys should take notes...or we should get some different players...or both. I will say I actually though Brandon Haywood has some actual interesting things to say when he got a chance to over Thomas who kept on spewing stuff.

I thought Thomas was mostly terrible... including what I wrote about KAT and the supermax stuff.

But that shot from Bayless has been an NBA practice for decades. It's so selfish. No other way to spin it. Bayless has missed 15 straight three pointers for chrissakes (7 - 36 fg overall in that stretch). Maybe it's time to take one when the feet are set and nobody is on you vs. 4 seconds into the shot clock.

Especially considering Towns was feasting on the Nuggets at the time. They were going to send a double team and guess what... Bayless would have been a lot more open.
