Of course Stephen A(sshole) Smith is now pushing for Klay to go to the Lakers. I don't watch him, only caught a few minutes but jeebus, I just don't know if the Wolves can ever get there. I know this is not a new argument, but we have everything working against us. Why are we hanging on to this team?

KAT without Thibs and Butler, 28 and 14.

Whenever I find myself agreeing with either Stephen A or Skip Bayless I immediately have to question my sanity. Fortunately that doesn't happen often mostly because I don't spend time listening to those clowns.

Does a few extra wins really trump the damage Jimmy's done to this organization? Not even close in my mind. We aren't getting out of the first round with Jimmy here. He should be reviled, not appreciated. Keep in mind what we traded for the guy who demanded a trade after one injury riddled campaign. Keep in mind he is nearly solely responsible for the position we found ourselves in during training camp. I can't wait till he's gone no matter what the return is.

I'm with you on Jimmy, he disgusts me and I want him gone. That being said I'm almost equally disgusted by Taylor in this situation making it hard for me to stay enthusiastic. That being said, I'm excited to see Wiggins and Okogie run together in long stints. Excited to see KAT take charge of this team. We'll get some sort of asset back, so yeah it will be easier for me to cheer with some enthusiasm again. I've just been watching these games with Jimmy in a daze.

I hope you weren't being literal when wanting to see Wig and Okogie "run" together!! I suggest you don't blink when watching them on the court together, because one blink and you're likely to miss Wig run. I believe the stat is, Wig runs around 5% of the time in the court. Again don't blind.

Disregard the above if you meant it more figuratively, and just want to see them on the court at the same time.

It was figurative for playing basketball. Thanks for the deep analysis of Wiggins game. Always appreciated to hear the broken record.

Contextually I would assume its fairly easy to know what is meant when someone says "hear the broken record" but Its weird to think about a lot of people have zero idea what this is referring to even with vinyl coming back to some extent. Heck some kids alive today are probably at some point gonna be like "what is a CD?" It just kinda made me laugh thinking about that...and made me feel a little bit old also..which makes me laugh too...mostly.

Great win and appreciate the report lip.

Ive grown to really like watching rose. He plays with so much energy, heart, hustle and passion that you just know he really loves the game. He is no longer mvp rose and he can go 4/12 like last night but he really plays all out. He also rebound his position and is still a good play maker. He just gets outmatched on defense defending bigger players now that he play sg full time. As a vet on the team, he is really great. he constantly talks to his teammates and pumps them up. He has been a great team mate and vet for the team.

1) Butler was terrific, but can't help already missing him.
2) Great to have Happy KAT back...man he was tough on the offensive boards!
3) Okogie is exceeding expectations...I hope his fighting over screens in contagious
4) Rose is fun to watch, but needs to shoot less and more efficiently
5) Thibs is improving as a coach, but blundered in not substituting Okogie for Rose when we built a 10-point lead...almost cost us the game, except Butler bailed him out
6) It's just bizarre how, game in and game out, Jones continues to dominate the +/- stat. Although he's not especially big or fast, his disruption on defense and refusal to turn the ball over almost always lead to positive results. Yes, he gets a lot of steals, but more importantly when you watch him live, it's incredible how often him just being in the right place defensively forces the opponent to alter their play. Just a great asset to have on the second unit, even when he goes 3-1-0.

Lip, I noticed the 4th quarter Okogie moment you mentioned (through my binoculars  )...he is a fun guy to watch, on and off the court.

LST - I remember looking into the upper deck just behind me and seeing a guy with a terrible bloody nose. Must have been you. :)

I'm glad you mentioned Thibodeau not getting Okogie in the game down the stretch in the 4th. I kept screaming at Thibodeau to get him back in the game. And yes, Thibodeau's failure to get Okogie back in the game almost cost us the game. I would have substituted him for Teague instead of Rose. I guess it's fair to say the Thibodeau is better so far this season, but not by much. The team's lack of movement in our offense and lack of emphasis defending the three are still readily apparent. The sooner he's gone the better.

I'm going to be honest, for the first time in about 20 years I watched the Bucks over the Wolves last night. My Bucks loyalties precede the Wolves franchise even though I've become more of a Wolves fan over the years. When Jimmy's gone I will go back to watching the Wolves realizing we won't be as good. As Q said, the whole thing sucks.

More than an element of phoniness... he's basically a fraud.

A very talented basketball player... but a fraud nonetheless. Unfortunately, there's still a lot of people out there who dig him for his "badass alphaness" in this debacle.

You're speaking the truth Abe. He's much more punk than badass.

I don't think this Laker renewal is going to result in a contender. Lebron peaked last year and though he is still Lebron, I see a diminishing return with him. And since so much of their hope is based on Lebron, it's a risky proposition at best. Kuzma is a nice player, Ingram isn't bad. But Ball is ordinary. They better spend their cap money wisely.
