Definitely, Monster. I've posted a number of times my hope that Wiggins' 5th season will be the same sort of break-out 5th season Oladipo had last year. It's just one game, but it comes on the heals of Wiggins playing pretty well in the Houston series last Spring.

Sorry to always be "that guy" in the Wiggins discussion, but Wiggins did not play well in the Houston series. He had two good games and was a ghost in the other three.

Yeah, I don't quite understand this either. And he was awful in game 5. I think folks tend to magnify the good games he does have because it's what we would all like him to become, so we put more weight on it than just a single game.

Thats the thing with wiggins, there is huge a range when it comes to his performances. People see the good or people see only the bad.
Against the spurs the last game. Since day he was balling, was active, and kept us in the game for stretches. Then some will say he read lazy, uninspired, and we could have won if he was better.
Then you go to some of the blogs like canis and he isnt even mentioned in the game reports.

Well, on the whole, there really isn't much to debate. He's a mediocre NBA starting wing. Go look up respected stats that measure the overall impact of a player - PER, WS/48, RPM, BPM, VORP - not a single one of those show him as anything but mediocre.
As for the Spurs game, he had a very solid outing - still not as efficient as I'd like to see with only 2 FTAs and 33% from 3 - but he was solid overall. We'd all love for that to be the norm for him.

If the blogs didn't mention him...probably means he had a good/not particularly objectionable game. Lol

I hate to rain on the parade, he had a few nice hustle plays. And hit a few set wide open 3's, which unfortunately most offenses in the league generate but ours for some reason doesn't. But his handle continues to be terrible, a couple times when he tried to initiate offense it was an abosule train wreck. He did have a drive and kick, but again that you would hope would be routine but he does it once and my eyes pop in disbelief.
His baseline is so low this game was improvement, sad.
