Yeah, I know. What kind of knucklehead would want to have 2 starters from a 52-win team last year (one of them who currently leads the league in DRPM!) plus cap space and a pick, when instead you could have three future Hall of Famers like Lauri, Zach and Dunn...I can't find a flaw in any of their games or personalities :) . If the Bulls don't beat the Warriors this year with those three in the lineup, they need to fire their coach!
In all seriousness, maybe someday the Chicago Three will show that they have learned the game and can be reliable starters...until then, I'll give Thibs credit for turning 3 flawed players into 2 guys who understand the game and are already fan favorites.
I'm with you LST. In general getting butler for one year didn't work. But knowing the worst case scenario was getting RoCo and Saric, I still take that butler gamble every day of the week.
It's maybe because I play poker in my free time but just because butler didn't work out doesn't mean it was incorrect. Thibs took an educated gamble to make us a contender it didn't work dosen't mean it was wrong and we ended up with 2 solid NBA assets out of it.
