I think rose played 2 stints of 17 minutes straight.
Thibs us going to thibs. Really he can't find 2 minutes for okogie to give rose a break?

You are talking about the greatest NBA team ever assembled playing on their home court. They have only lost at home to Milwaukee and the Thunder and I'm pretty sure they had a key guy out for those games.
This is why that Portland game was the one to pick off, dammit!
I didn't watch last night either. But I agree the Portland game was the one to win.
When you look back on a season at the end, certain games stand out as ones that were clearly winnable and would have made the difference between lottery or the playoffs or between an 8th seed and a 5th seed. That Portland game will stand out as one of those games this season as will the back-to-back home losses to Memphis and Denver along with the home loss to Boston. All those four losses came in the post-Butler era when the team was playing well with good chemistry. The Wolves should have won at least two of those games. Then there were all those losses this season when Butler was still here playing when he wanted to play and otherwise poisoning the team's chemistry. There were definitely games the Wolves would have won during that stretch if the Butler situation hadn't been allowed to fester so long. Last season it was losses to Atlanta, Phoenix and Memphis a a couple others that should join have been wins and that ultimately left us in 8th place rather than as high as 4th.
The Wolves remain right in the thick of the playoff race. But it is losses like the four I mentioned along with the early season Butler debocle and Thibodeau's archaic and sometimes irrational coaching that convinces me the Wolves will end up on the outside of the playoffs looking in at the end of the season.

Saric was also a nice 6-9.
I really like that tandem for the present and future.
Agree, they seem to have something there with these two and Saric has been better defensively than I originally thought.
They absolutely need a coach that is capable of running a more diversified offense that doesn't just rely on ball-dominant guards running endless isolation and pick and rolls. That works if you have Kyrie Irving and LeBron James as your ball handlers. Rose and Teague aren't quite up to snuff.
One more thing, based solely on the score since I didn't watch the game. You're not going to beat the Warriors in their building scoring 108 points. Last night's game was winnable only if the Wolves had everything going offensively with a 120-point game. Point totals that high are not unusual in the NBA these days. In fact they're fairly commonplace. Beating the Warriors in their building is a tall order so I certainly didn't expect the Wolves to win last night. But the Wolves are going to have to beat some elite teams this season and that will generally require the Wolves to put on an offensive show in a scoring contest. The Wolves have the talent to do that, but the talent is constrained by Thibodeau's offensive system.

Jim pete seemed to be taking more shots at thibs' line up combination and specifically mentions how good saric and kat look to play off each other.
Those 2 along with roco and wiggs are locked up for a few more years. If we lose, id like to lose woth kat and wiggs getting their licks in at the end of games rather than relying on rose or teague.
Btw, anyone know where we can find a rubio with a jumpshot?
What is wrong with Jeff Teague? It's no longer just a "he's bad on the eyes, but still effective" thing. He is actually really struggling with his overall shot and offense. I thought I had moved on from Ricky Rubio, but at this rate, I'm really starting to miss him again.

It's the same thing it's always been with him, just more bad games. I honestly don't know what's wrong. I think it's clear he doesn't like Thibodeau, but maybe there's more to it than that.

I actually thought Tyus Jones might become a fully functioning version of Rubio, but without the flashy passes (not sure Rubio even does much flash in Utah's system anyway). But he can't freakin' shoot now either!
Still....Tyus is the closest thing we have a to a PG that moves the ball quickly and defends well. But he's gotta make those open 3's.

Either his age caught up to him or hes injured. Quite a few of the 30 yr old pgs are taking a nose dive right now like cp3 and lowry.
Hes really bad at post entry passes and making a quick pass to soneone at the 3 pt line. Ive seen both roco and saric jumping up and diwn wziting for a pass, but both teague and rose dont look in their direction. Its slmost as if the other 4 guys are out their as bail out options.

I'm seeing something very different from you guys. Plus people forget all the possessions Rubio dribbled around for plenty of time and did nothing productive either. Teague is playbe some solid D also. Again Teague never gets the benefit of the doubt.
