Kiwi - 28

Edit: Kudos to Kiwi for being the closest to the actual win total of 29. A few other folks were within just a couple of games as well.

.....and then there is Tim. Sigh.

What can I say! Maybe I should rename my username to MysticMatt.

Any ways MysticMatt's 2016/2017 total regular season win total is...................

46 wins

I'm going with 44. That's a 15 win improvement, which would be pretty impressive to me, and I suspect I'm being a little optimistic. Mainly, I just hope we make the playoffs, scare a good team, and then go into next year with some real momentum.

Also everyone looks at our late season run but besides OKC and the Warriors (2 great wins) we beat injury devastated bad teams. All a 12 win jump what is a lot.

We did escape injury, but the amount of quality depth across the board should negate the severity of any injuries with Towns being the only exception. If rubio, lavine, Wiggins, or dieng go down I'm confident in a combination of tyus, dunn.l, shabazz, rush, hill, belly, and Aldrich picking up the slack. Looking at those names its i believe we have one of the deepest teams in the league.

I do agree but losing any of those 4 still will hurt I believe. Like if everyone is relatively healthy I think high 40s is possible. I am also waiting to see our new role players play. I am just used to our free agent pickups/trades not living up to the hype (mo Williams, bud, roy, amundson, brewer, Bennett, young, shved, etc..) like kmart his first year is probably the only one who lived up to the hype and that was for a year and a half

Yeah, good point. Add Martell Webster, Mike Miller, and JJ Barea into that mix too. Watch, Brandon Rush will suddenly forget how to make corner 3's once he puts a T-Wolves jersey on. It's really amazing how nearly every year we think we have such a deep team and then either injuries or under-performing players just kill us.

JJ was pretty good his first year. Mo Williams was pretty much what I thought he would be. Luke Ridnour's first year with the Wolves was possibly the best of his career AND he hit 3's at a the best rate of his career. Just sayin it's not all doom and gloom for FA for the Wolves especially the first year.

This isn't a knock on Dieng because I think he is important but I think of the starters he is the guy the Womves can live without the most of he missed time. They have some guys that should be able to be solid next to Towns. I'm not even convinced that the Wolves would be ok if Rubio went down for an extended time. Levine? Losing the best long range shooter and only pure SG? Yikes. Wiggins? Suddenly you are leaning on Rush and Bazz for heavy minutes. It might be ok but if you want to make the playoffs losing the other guys other than Dieng you have to hope some guys step up. There is potential for that but...they would have to prove it.

Mo Williams has the highest single game scoring record in Wolves history.

And he started only 18 games.

Q actually I am waiting to see what other people pick! Lol I don't remember the reason for lowering my win total last year from 33 but I knew I wanted to and then I went for the Price is Right game like Abe did at the beginning of this thread and picked a number in the range I wanted that nobody had and picked 29... It doesn't look like I will be able to do that this year all the numbers I would have considered are taken. I'll make up my mind before the first preseason game I promise. I feel proud I was as close as so was with my first 33. I'm not a big fan of these types of predictions with so many variables at hand.

It's could be very close, that's for sure. This is where it really sucks to be in the West. I'd be banking on 46 or 47 wins and a playoff birth no problemo if we were in the East.
