I worry about this a bit too. Thibs needs to be firm and not pay him and tell him sign another vet min contract and if it goes well we have early bird rights and go from there. I don't know why Rose would want to leave either.
Obviously I don't know him, but from the outside since he left Chicago he's struggle to find a comfortable home. I feel like everytime you see him on the bench or in the game he has energy and smile and is truly loving basketball again. I feel like everywhere else he was miserable so
maybe that's a good sign that he will stay here for cheap.
I thought they would get swept, so winning at least a game makes making the playoffs worth it. Then staying competitive in this game so far. Maybe the pressure will get to Paul and Harden and they throw up like previous years.
The way Rose has been playing I'd like to say goodbye to Teague and run with Rose and Tyus. That is assuming Teague returns something of value and the Rose deal is short and reasonably cheap.

Idk if you can trust rose to stay healthy for a whole season to be the #1 point guard
