He also generally has the easier assignment and doesn't have to do as much on offense as he did last year. His role is now more aligned with his actual skills.

Yes we always needed more talent then Lavine on D. Now that we have 2 legit defensive wings Wiggins is flourishing. No surprise to me.

Mmm, I wouldn't say he's flourishing. He's a solid NBA wing. I think most of us were hoping for more by now.

Wiggins is mostly guarding SFs. That means he isn't always getting the easier assignment. The difference is Butler gives you a lot more as a defender and all the other stuff than Lavine did.

Wiggins 3 looked like it did the first few games. Fluid and a nice long follow through. It would be nice if he could really find his shot from 3.

Tyus has filled up the stat sheet. He pretty much punked Jackson who was coming up the floor looking to attack him.

Taj has been terrific. Towns has been good offfensively.

Yeah, Tyus seems fine as a stand in for Teague when all the other starters are healthy. I don't feel like we lose much. It just means KAT, Butler, and Wiggins get more shots. He made a couple of just filthy steals, including the Jackson one.

His two 3's were very smooth. He also took a number of crap shot attempts - difficult pull up Js and turnarounds. Some went in, a lot didn't. It's overall an inefficient brand of basketball. Hopefully he gets more confidence in the 3-ball.

Halftime report:

Tyus has been terrific. He's a better floor general and defender than Teague. He also plays with more pace. Brooks is pathetic defensively.

KAT's dad is sitting right behind us. He's very vocal. At one point KAT made a boneheaded defensive play leaving his man in the paint. His dad said, "oh Karl, what were you thinking!"

Up 5 with our starting PG and potentially our best bench player out. Let's pull away with this one. Go Wolves.

I'll be interested to see what the stats are for pace with a Tyus playing with starters for these couple games. Up to Friday Teague and Crawford have the highest pace numbers and Tyus one of the lowest.

Thanks for the report on Karl Sr. He might have to worry about concussions with the possible amount of facepalming he likely could do. Lol

People seem to have their mind made up on Teague already, even though he's been overall pretty damn good for us.

Tyus has been great, in his role but the idea that he is better than Teague from this one performance is just silly.

Here we go again. Can we not play the bench? I get uncomfortable with these big leads.

I wish Thibs would stagger guys a bit more and not have 4 bench players all in at once....we'll see what he does today.

I was saying that earlier. My comments about the PG play is really about the chain reaction it causes in forcing playing Brooks. The starters should stagger with Jamal running a bit of point with Jimmy as alternate ball handler.
