No need. He's cheap enough to let him rot on the bench next year and play if an emergency calls for it. After that, we can just decline his option and let him go. That was an awful, horrendous trade Flip pulled. I said it on this board then and my feelings about it have only grown stronger. It was also puzzling considering the timing. We still had Young and Bennett at the time. There really was no need to do that. Think Flip got hammered with old buddy Tom and made a move based on that relationship. Unfortunate for us.

A large part of that is because we're playing three guys that aren't good enough to be rotation players for an NBA team (yet?). Payne, Muhammad and Jones are all net negatives. Add in Smith and it's four players that fit the description. That's even harder to watch considering how Mitchell lets them play together as a unit for way too long.

I'm not sure I've ever seen such an extreme combination of good Ricky and bad Ricky in a single game.

Some good and bad there from Ricky. Got Temple to leave his feet on the closeout, leaned in and drew the foul while making the shot. Couple possessions later he sent an outlet pass to LaVine that had to have been perfect to have a chance and it went out of bounds. Poor decision there. Just now, he picked Wall's pocket clean, which was terrific, but then decided to try a flashy, no-look post entry to Bazz that got bounced around and picked up by Washington. Think he would have been better to just turn around and hand off to LaVine, who was trailing, for a wide open three attempt.
Not all his fault there, but some good AND bad. Live with it. He's a main reason why the Wolves are even in this game.

I've seen multiple passes to Bazz end up in a turnover. His court awareness is so poor. I sure hope we can trade Bazz this offseason. I don't want him getting regular minutes next year if we are trying to make the playoffs.
