I wish I pop was the head coach with assistance being Phil Jackson, coach K and thibs

Thibs is the best available coach and it likely isn't even close.
Don't begrudge you from liking your guy, but this is pure Cam hyperbole.
Who has a better recent winning history? The guy was routinely getting his team into the playoffs on defense and effort, and winning at least one playoff game each year, despite being without his very best players. Tell me who's better? Brooks? Product of the talent he had. He actually held that team back.

I see you're still cherry picking Cam.
Brooks team has won 211 games over the last 4 years, compared to 193 for Thibs. That seems pretty recent. The Thunder have played in a tougher conference each year and made the PO's each time other than last season with 45 wins in the West (which had Durant missing 2/3 of the season and Westbrook out 15 games). Those 45 wins would have made them a 6th seed in the east last season. The Bulls records had them playing at home in three of the four PO opening series. Playing in the East has definitely benefited Thibs record.
I think Thibs is an excellent defensive coach and would do wonders with the wolves, but to downplay what Brooks did with OKC is just silly.

The priority has got to be JVG for POBO first. If he wants to coach too great, if not let him search for a great coach who can have a detailed system on both ends of the floor. JVG is a great defensive mind, Riley pedigree. He is what we need. And I am 100% confident he can find the right coach if it is not him.
Why wait? It makes no sense. JVG needs some time now to look at this roster up close so he can hit the ground running in the summer for draft and free agency. If were worried about the new owner, make him believe it is his decision.

As noted, JVG has SEEMED reluctant to discuss coaching openings midseason in the past. Not sure if that is true for front office spots too. But if he does have reservations, I'd assume the strange unfortunate circumstances in this case might even make him stay away even more.
No harm asking him. I just don't think he'd take anything midseason.

I can understand the coaching thing, which is why you sell hard on the POBO. That gives him extra time to ponder coaching. I would play on the circumstances. Tell him he is the only person who can grasp and build on Flip's vision. Milt isn't going to do anything so without a real name we are nothing for a while. It should happen now. Otherwise we have a built in excuse for the deadline, draft, and free agency.

I've never seen JVG as a front office guy. He seems to have no patience for all the other stuff. I would imagine if he gets a job with a team it will be as coach. JVG would like be quite entertaining working. For your team.
