You sir, have just been entered into Drew's Book of Funny.
Thanks Drew. I feel honored. The Rubio/Dunn threads were getting a little too heated, the free agent signings will be good for some laughs.

Boy, some of those numbers do seem a little nutty, even after the cap goes up. Friday is the first day of free agency, right?
While I'm all for striking while the iron is hot, there is a limit on what makes sense in order to ensure sustainable success over the next 5-7 years.

Indeed. Has anybody brought up Sullinger yet? He might be a "bargain" big at 8-10 million. Or maybe it's like 15 or 16? I have no idea.

As we look to free agency, we have a unique situation. Namely, we need to look forward... first, it will be Shabazz and Georgi, the Wiggins and Lavine, then Towns, then hopefully Dunn. Rubio and Pek each got 10 mil to stay and that's nowhere close to what towns and Wiggins will command.
New York, on the other hand, doesn't have any young players worth worrying about. And Noah would start and play big minutes for them. Here, he might start, but it would be fewer minutes
I guess the free agents are in the driver's seat, but personally I would hope we don't overpay a lot so we can make sure we are positioned to keep the quality core intact for years. It may mean keeping KG and Pek around, but it's better to have a bad 1-year contract or 2-year contract than have a bad 3-year or 4-year deal.
