Yeah, for all the sexy blocks KAT gets - and they are very impressive at times - he also gives up a lot of easy looks in the paint. I hope as he gets older, stronger, and wiser he's able to do a better job defensively.

We will miss zach so much, like if wiggins or towns struggle we will struggle to score. (I realize that grizzlies are good defensively

Worst loss of the season IMO. Up 18 at home against a Memphis team resting 3 key guys and you give it up like a honey dipped virgin on prom night. You let some guy named Jamychal Green own you by simply showing way more heart than anybody in a white jersey.
With this game the playoff train might have officially rolled off the tracks. Next stop Apathyville. Blah.

I agree Mstermisty. I think this was the nail in the coffin. How do you lose to a team at home sitting 3 key starters!? And Conley and Randolph didn't even shoot the ball well. Green and Ennis just killed us! Who are these guys!?
While I think the playoffs are a pipe dream at this point, this squad needs to keep trying to get victories. The last thing we need to do is tank for another lottery pick that is going to take multiple years to be any good, if ever. I'm tired of lottery picks! This team needs to learn how to compete, defend, and win games when the shots aren't falling.

Towns: "we got too comfortable with the lead. We thought we'd cruise to the finish line and we stumbled."
This team hasn't learned a damn thing. Not a damn thing.

Bullied into submission as usual,
Rubio-Jones should have been the backcourt most of the game with the way Memphis was pressing us with 2 quick players like Coney and Douglass.

Disappointing loss against a team missing three starters, although in all fairness, the Wolves were missing 2 of the players at least Thibs has in his top 6. I didn't see the game, but I'm guessing everyone but KAT was bullied and harassed into submission...jeez, I wish our starters could play with their consistent intensity.
Different cast last night, but same script. How does Memphis play their bench more than ours when they only have about 10 guys dressed? And why does a coach with a reputation for favoring tough play like Thibs not see that is exactly what his bench brings...and what we needed against a physical Grizzlies team? And once again the bench outperformed the starters in the limited minutes Thibs doled out to them...they were a minus 3, and the starters were a minus 37! Why won't Thibs listen to me and play these guys more???
Tyus's box score looks good, but I wonder how you guys thought he played? I like his quick hands and I note the 2 steals, but how was his defense overall? Offensively you gotta like 10 and 6 in 24 minutes.
Many here threw in the playoff towel last night, and I don't necessarily disagree. But I see the next 4 games as highly winnable, and a 4-game winning streak before the valentines date with LeBron would leave us in a much better position. Can they do it though?

LST, Tyus looked OK-ish defensively. As you noted, he got a couple of steals, but he also got blown by a couple of times off the bounce. He is just not a very good defender one-on-one, but it's not without lack of trying.
Offensively he made a couple of careless decisions, but overall he was effective and efficient. He's going to be getting regular playing time from here on out, so we'll see if the production he's shown in spot situations carries through to being a regular rotation guy. So far so good on that front.

Tyus is one of the best pure basketball players on the team. He will help us win games if Thibs would let him play.
