Ha, great stuff. Remember a summer or two ago where he made some ridiculous number of shots in a row from behind the backboard? How a guy has the touch and precision to make those kinds of trick shots, hit well over 80% of his free throws, but then look incredibly awkward pulling up off the dribble for an 18-footer in actual games is just baffling. But it is what it is and I love Ricky no matter what!

Well for one thing it's easier to work on trick type shots when you don't have to worry about using your legs. I'll be interested to see him in the Olympics. He has a lot of fun pics with his teammates on Instagram. He seems to be having a good time. I'm happy about that because it was t that long ago he seemed to have lost some joy plus he just lost his mom to cancer.

Wow, Australia smashed France. Bogut with a huge game after his injury in the Finals.

This was the most impressive thing I've watched so far.

'Iron Lady' Katinka Hosszu shatters world record in 400 IM, American Maya DiRado takes second

I watched a little of the USA vs China game in the first quarter before my stream ended. It was close at that point. Lol

This gets me even more excited about Thibs. He is just what our pups need.

I'm reserving judgement on this one, bleed. Yes, they just won by 50, but they beat a Chinese team whose best player couldn't cut it with 3 teams in the NBA. I don't know if you watched any of the game, but I turned it on for a couple minutes in the second half. Thibs was frantically waving his arms and screaming...and they were up 40! Chill a little, man! I'm a little concerned about how our guys are going to react to that. Yes, I want a coach who will make our team play with defensive intensity, but there has to be some balance or you risk losing the locker room...a guy on the verge of a coronary in a 50-point blowout seems a little odd. There were some quiet reports that Wiggins was put off by Mitchell's aggressive coaching last year...he ain't seen nuthin' yet!

Keeping my fingers crossed...

Shumway has to be happy his Aussies destroyed a France team with several NBA players that many thought might be the second or third best team in the tournament...nice win! Today at 5 Rubio and Spain play a pretty good Croatia team...could be entertaining.

Edit: Sorry Shumway...didn't see that you had already reported on the Australia/France game. What a great win though!

LST - Well coach K and Thibs are coaching the play not the score. They have not played anyone tough yet and this is how they have to handle some of these teams so they don't develop bad habits. I like it.

This line sums it up.

""I like the fact," Coach K continued, "that we don't play the score. We just play the play."

Don't apologise about bringing more attention to the Aussies. It doesn't get easier though with Serbia before you guys (USA) this week. Probably 7 or 8 teams with genuine hopes for silver or bronze.

This is the Olympics and there are only a few games and this team should hold itself to the highest standard. This isn't game 46 of an 82 game regular season this is like playing a tournament which eventually ends up being a one and done tourney after playing preseason games with a team with a lot of turnover in free agency. Thibs showed a sense of humor after the game. This is damn high level basketball. Team USA should be playing to their own standard event game. You don't want to let down even in big blowouts like this there is too much at stake. It seems like guys are all in on playing defense and that's Thibs thing. Don't we want the best from our country doing their best?
