I too worried about our depth after this game. Yes, bazz did not play but 1 thing I learned watching bazz play for 3 seasons is that he is a hot/cold type of scorer that you dont get anything else if he is cold. He is not really an ideal 6th man and not an easy guy to play with for his teammates. We need a better 6th man than bazz to be successful.
Dunn was supposed to be that guy for us as our backup pg. But dunn has been terrible in the preseason. Cole, Rush and belly are nice role player/glue guys. We need dunn to be our best bench player and more of a challenger to rubio's starting role for us to be successful. Otherwise, the starters are going to have to log heavy minutes.

We didn't seem to skip a beat without Wiggins as it meant more of a featured role for Zach, who got things started early, and Towns.
A few quick hitters;
- Dunn isn't even close to displacing Rubio. Anyone who is speculating this hasn't watched a second of pre-season. The contrast couldn't have been more stark tonight....and it's not just about Dunn's cold shooting. Rubio fits like a glove with that first unit.
- Man Thibs is constantly barking at his players. I could see that wear on guys after a while. He seems like the kind of coach that is really good for a young up and coming team. But after a few years, I could see us needing a more cerebral coach that lets the best players be coaches on the floor while he's playing a chess match over the course of the season.
- I realize Memphis was missing a couple guys, but I'm not sure they can keep pace with the up and coming teams out West, including Minnesota. Gasol looked too slow to keep up with KAT....although it was pre-season so may be he was just going 70%.
- I like Rush....makes solid decisions out there and knows his role. He could definitely spot start for LaVine or Wiggins if either gets hurt.
- Worried about our depth......
I am thinking that once everything smooths out and Thibs fully trusts his team, he will be able to tone it down.
As for Dunn, I said when he was drafted that if he was good enough to supplant Ricky this team will be in incredible shape. We should be thankful that we have two good point guard talents until that happens --- hopefully even afterwards.
Re: Wolves vs Mem
I can't say I am too worried about our depth. The train wreck of a 4th quarter was due to some hot shooting from Memphis reserves and pretty poor play from our non-rotation guys. One or two non-rotation guys being called into action should not be a problem. If we wind up losing 5 or more of our rotation guys to injury, then yeah, we are in trouble.
Rush plays well and fits in with other players. I said before I worry that Bazz could wind up being that 10th guy who gets pretty minimal minutes.
And yes, Dunn has a pretty big learning curve to navigate. He will be on a short leash in the regular season, just like he was last night.
