He's getting clipped with a shoulder or a hip on every cut and screen. I'm fine with a little bit of it, but it's been straight street ball level physicality at times with no calls. I'd rather not see a top player in the game be taken out of the game because he has to fight through hockey style checks all game long.

They are letting Curry be physical on defense also. Curry missed 3 easy shots 2 wide open 3's and a easy layup. He is letting his teammates do the work. I'm not too worried.

I voted Warriors in five. I just see that Cavs won't have defenders to stop Curry and Thompson even though they did terrific job in first game. But I think that Curry had an off night and missed a lot of that kind of shots he normally makes. Before last nights game I wouldn't have believed that Warriors would be able to beat Cavs if Curry and Thompson are scoring just 20 points but they did and it wasn't even close game.

Warriors also have much better wing defenders to chase LeBron and Irving than any other team that Cavs has played in this years playoffs have had.

Cleveland defended the Warriors better than anticipated, but the Warriors defended Cleveland even better. This wasn't exactly a shoot-out.

Also....I thought Love looked halfway decent when switched out on the perimeter.

Iggy, Barbosa, and Livingston won this game for Golden State.

Yes, they did...but also we shouldn't overlook the Cavs' defensive strategy that allowed them to win the game. I'm not criticizing Lue's decision to focus so much on Curry and Thompson...they're obviously the straws that stir the drink. But his defensive strategy resulted in some of the most wide-open jump shots and lanes to the basket I have ever seen in a playoff game. You generally don't see many wide open shots in an NBA championship game, but last night looked at times like an all-star game with some of the looks Bogut, Iggy, Barbosa, Livingston, Barnes and Green were given. And Kerr wisely took what the Cavs were giving him...you could see the offensive strategy right from the start when Barnes came out so aggressively.

NBA players are going to make uncontested shots, and that's why the Warriors shot 50% despite Curry and Thompson making less than 30% of their 27 shots. I don't think Lue can continue to allow so many open looks, so I expect to see a more straightforward defensive approach in Game 2.

James was his usual brilliant self with a near triple double and TT played well, but other than those two, I didn't think any other Cav had an especially good game...they were totally outclassed on a night the Warriors' stars shot 30%. Good god...what happens when Curry and Thompson have a normal shooting night? I'm afraid this is not going to be a memorable finals for those of us who like close series.

I have a different perspective. Barbosa was on fire. He was really aggressive and his shots went down. Kerr clearly had Barnes ready to take advantage of the Cavs putting guys on him that were favorable matchups.

Some of the Cavs problem came down to...they couldn't score. The big 3 had 66 points the rest of the team had 23. That's not gonna get it done. The way the Cavs are put together have to get buckets to win. They didn't do that. Some of that was GS but some of it looked like poor offense to me. I think that's a bigger adjustment or difference than what the Cavs need to do defensively.

What did you guys think of the Delly/Iggy play? While I think it was an intentional shot to the nuts by Delly, I think the referees handled it correctly in giving him a common foul and not doling out technicals to Iggy or Shumpert. I think the refs looked at the play several times and likely thought Delly had done something bad, but couldn't conclude he had. But because of the likelihood, they didn't punish Iggy for getting in Delly's face.

Why do I think it was intentional? Well first, as the announcers pointed out, Delly has the reputation of being a dirty player. Second, look at the level of the swipe compared to where the ball is. Iggy has pulled up his dribble and is moving the ball from right to left chest-high, but Delly's sweep is a full three feet lower! Either Delly has the worst depth perception in the NBA, or the Aussi clearly intended to go "down under"!

Didn't look intentional to me. What would be the point of that for Delly? I didn't think there was any reason for a T on Iggy but the announcers thought he would get one. I thought if guys got a T for that every time there would be some games where there would be like 15 T's handed out. I thought it was handled correctly by the officials and it wasn't a close game but I liked overall how the game was called. They are letting guys play and I thought it was pretty consistent.

Barbosa was on fire, but I don't think there was even a hand in his face on any of his five jump shots...and almost NBA vet is going to make most of those uncontested mid-range shots. Similarly, the Cavs aggressive jumping out on Carry and Thompson left Bogut unguarded for dunks, and the lane wide open for Barnes and Green to drive to the basket. I think the only productive guy that the Cavs actually guarded closely at times last night was Livingston. He made some really tough shots while closely guarded, although perhaps his height advantage made some of those shots easier than they looked.

I agree that the game was generally well-reffed. They missed some possession calls early (generally to the Warriors advantage, I thought), but on balance I thought the refs did a good job. I can't answer what the point would be for Delly to slap Iggy in the nuts. What was the point of Green kicking Stephan Adams below the belt? I think both Green and Delly are hard-nosed aggressive players who sometimes let their emotions get the best of them, and that's why both of them have earned the reputation of being dirty players.

I didn't think the nut punch was intentional either. Seems like it would be difficult to get the effect he wanted from behind
