While all those are nice comparisons... and each is very crappy in its own right:
- Only 12 out of 32 NFL teams make the playoffs and 10 out of 30 MLB teams vs. 16 out of 30 in the NBA.
- Oakland has two .500 seasons and a 7 - 9 season. Finished dead last once.
- The Marlins had 4 winning seasons in that stretch.
- Cleveland seems to be the closest... but even there... they had a 10 - 6 season tossed into the mix and only finished with the worst record once.
Abe, we're clearly worse, but those are the only others that were comparable and came to mind. I was just trying to think of some other professional franchises that have been embarrassments to their fan bases over the past X amount of years.

Yep Cam its amusing that Sam got the reputation of a defensive coach despite him not really having a history of it. Sam said this team had to be better at defense. Flip said the same thing all offseason. Sam said he was going to concentrate early on on defense becasue they were so terrible last year and it was easier to work on. I'd argue Sam has never really claimed to be a defensive coach and seems to have said much more about his ability to coach offense than defense. So basically ALOT of Wolves fans have made the leap thinking he is a defensive coach becasue he emphasied it so much and for a solid stretch this team was a vast improvement in that area. Of course really the thing he has claimed he is teaching the most is fundamentals which assuming he isn't a complete moron he is teaching the correct fundamentals and that will have some good payoff later. I made points all year abotu Sam really not being a defensive coach and there for a while early on it was looking like he or someone on the staff was doing something right, but of course with injuries and youth and the ret of the league catching up thats gone away.

I would say the Brown have now taken over as the biggest joke of the NFL for sure and likely are now the laughingstock of the major sports. The Raiders have some legit promise. Detroit had a run of competancy that at least got them to the place where they were a joke because they couldn't take the next step instead of just a joke. The Wolves have a pretty sad run though and for just about every reason oyu can come up with.
