I agree that Wiggins is more consistent than LaVine. But Wiggins has had the advantage of consistently big minutes at the same position, which happens to be his natural position and a less demanding position than the PG position Zach has been forced to play.

LaVine may make more mistakes than Wiggins, but that's because he's been playing PG with far more ball handling and passing responsibilities than Wiggins. LaVine is actually far less turnover prone than Wiggins as a ballhandler. And LaVine's game is far more versatile than Wiggins when you consider shooting range, passing and rebounding.

Kevin Lynch recently said that Zach has as high an upside as anyone in this team. I'll add that Zach has shown enough in game competition to demonstrate that he's more than just potential. His reputation for hard work as well as his obvious improvement defensively and as a playmaker make him far more than just a bundle of great potential.

I love all three of these young guys, and you can add Gorgui to the list too. I've always been a big Zach supporter, but don't tell me he's ahead of Wiggins right now. Scoring more points per game than your age happens for a reason. Not only that, he's our go to guy at clutch time and he has come through on numerous occasions.

As Wolves fan you have every right to be skeptical about this group of players. We've seen rebuilds come and go and tons of high draft picks go sour. But I think the best thing to do is enjoy the ride and not become too caught up in what this group is today. This board seems to have a vibe that things need to happen quicker than they should. Eventually things are going to take their natural course. I believe this rebuild is going to finally work out, provided we get the proper organizational leadership in place. And I'm enjoying the hek out of the process.

I agree that this young group can be great together, I think KAT is the only one who will be great, but that's ok. Wiggy and Zach can and should be right there behind him, and Bazz and Dieng in the third tier, let's not trade these guys for more draft picks or 20 year olds. Bring in a steady vet in free agency to compliment this core and we'll be good next year with a new coach.

No one said Zach is better than Wiggins. Grey simply responded to Q that he didn't think Zach "was that far behind Wiggins" and then he simply suggested "it might be argued" that Zach is "slightly better" than Wiggins. I never said Zach was better. I simply said Zach's game is more versatile and I think the evidence is indisputable on that point. But Wiggins scoring prowess, consistency and defense definitely make him the better of the two right now. As for potential, I agree with a pretty smart basketball guy named Kevin Lynch that Zach has as much of an upside as anyone on this roster -- although I might say "except for KAT."

I'm not caught up in the vibe of impatience you alluded to. That's why I've consistently called for playing the young guys and that's why I've been opposed to trading any of our young guys including Ricky. I absolutely agree we shouldn't get too caught up in what this group is today, but should instead enjoy the ride as we watch them grow together into who they can be. Wolves fans certainly have the right to be skeptical, but I see skepticism "about this group of players" as unduly cynical.

I'm skeptical of this organization's management. I have concerns that they will go forward with second-rate leadership in the front office and a second-rate coaching staff. I fear dumb player personnel decisions by our front office and poor player development by our coaching staff. My concerns are based on historical precedent. But I see no cause for skepticism about our young core of Towns, Wiggins and LaVine. I see every reason to be excited about these three as the core of a potentially elite team and certainly an eventual playoff team.
