Isn't Denzell Valentine projected to go around 16th? Mmmm, a one trick pony for a regular triple-double threat that can shoot from outside. I like that!
I'm not sure what we can get for Bazz, but I understand the reason for shopping him. I can't see us signing him beyond his rookie deal and he has enough value to get us a positive asset in return.
I still believe Valentine's going to be a lottery pick. I wouldn't mind moving Bazz for a pick like that (mid-1st), though. Would have to be the right player who had a couple years in college to work on his game...
I suggest Caris LeVert. Knockdown 3P shooter (40%+ three years in college on good volume). Great size for a SG at 6'7. Decent athlete. Above average handle. Averaging 5+ APG this year. Has injury problems, which is why he'll be available in that range, but he's a guy I'd draft regardless. The talent's there.
Cam I'm sure you have watched LeVert a lot more than me but I am wary of him. It seems like he couldn't stay healthy or do much despite what I thought was a talented guy early in his career. Maybe he has gotten it all together this year (looks good based on his stats) but is it real? Idk also I am not sure he is anywhere near 6'7" but i know he has long arms. Obviously some of these guys at some point in the draft it becomes late enough they are good value and you take a shot at them. Anyway that's my thoughts on him.
MIN gets Tyson Chandler, Devin Booker, Brandon Jennings
PHX gets Pek, Martin, Bazz, Payne and some seconds
DET gets Markieff and Tyus
So, Phoenix unloads arguably the 3 most talented players... and gets nobody of long-term value and minimal contract relief either?
I understand getting rid of Markieff Morris. But Devin Booker might be the ONLY good thing to happen to the Suns organization this season. to dump him for a bunch of random non-starters from one of the other dreadful teams?

Will you consider a deal centered around bazz and vonleh?
No!! I remember Flip telling me before the 2014 draft that he wouldn't consider Vonleh. He said there were some serious character issues, but he wouldn't elaborate.

Good info. I remember you saying that there was a player the wolves won't touch in the draft, it seems like vonleh is the guy.

Damn, nice memory. I remember that too (now that you said it). Lip did mention that there was a player that was a definite no-go on Flip's radar. Seems odd that it was Vonleh and not someone like Hairston.

That was my first thought too, denzel valentine. If 16th isn't high enough maybe adding Kevin martin or 2nds would get us in position to draft him.
An ingram/dunn and Valentine draft this year would be outstanding.
I think we need to prepare to be drafting around 8th this year. Unless we get lottery luck. I wonder if trading Shabazz would make more sense around draft time than now when you know how are are targeting. These picks tend to be worth more now than when a team is on the clock.
Shabazz fits as the prefect backup to Wiggins and LaVine. Sure we could use 3&D backup, but at least he is not a guy you wouldn't be afraid to start for a few games a year.
I really think this team needs to worry about a PF/C and backup PG this offseason and build around Towns/Wiggins/LaVine/Dieng/Rubio/Shabazz.
