The term "coached up" applies to the Suns more than any other team I've ever seen. Seriously, literally every guy on that squad is having a career year. Hats off to Coach Hornacek.

Don't worry! We are grooming Terry Porter to take the reigns...

Too true, Q. Hornacek has my vote for Coach of the Year so far!

That's a tough klunker to swallow. I don't care for how Adelman is handling end of game situations, and we don't have time to wait for him to figure it out.

On the bright side, the KOM says we lose in Atlanta tomorrow, so we have a chance to get that game back with an anti-klunker. Although we missed an opportunity to slow down Memphis...

Yup, another crippling loss at home. All of these terrible losses have happened on our home floor - OKC, Dallas, Phoenix, Sacramento, and now Memphis.

I don't know how a team can suffer that many critical home losses and make the playoffs in the West.

What kills me is it was Barea running the show in crunchtime in most of those losses. Just pisses me off.

Tim, It takes a village to screw up this many close games. Yes, Adelman's decision tonight is tough to justify, but Mstermisty rattled off in another thread a whole litany of ways we've managed to lose close games. It's Barea, it's Love missing a tip-in, it's Love missing free throws, it's a terrible call by the refs, it's a ridiculously lucky shot by Gerald Green, it's a lack of stops, it's a....the beat goes on.

So, the post Super Bowl and rolling into the All-Star Break update:

As bad as we all feel about the Wolves (and rightfully so!), they have held serve at 47 wins since the original KOM post, which is no where close to making the playoffs, but probably good enough to lose our lottery pick. But who knows, maybe Pek's injury will make us crash harder than Denver and all their problems who are currently slated for 46 wins.

Memphis is on a tear and up to 49 wins. We'll see what the Conley injury does to them. Dallas has struggled, falling to 50 wins, while the Suns have bumped up to 51 wins. Houston and Golden State are both at 53 wins.

The KOM has the Wolves going 5-1 into the All-Star Break, but they will be tough games. They need to figure out how to play without Pek in a hurry, or the Wolves playoff hopes will be snuffed out by All-Star Break (unless two of Dallas, Memphis or Phoenix follow us down the shitter).

Thanks for the KOM update, Tim. I have to admit I would be quite pleased with 47 wins, even if it meant missing the playoffs and losing our pick. Improvement is all I am looking for, and 47 wins would be a huge improvement.

Unfortunately, I think the combination of no Pek and Adelman's odd choices are destined to doom us. I see us as 3-3 into the All-Star break. I hope the KOM is right and I'm wrong!

While the Wolves held serve, the Suns and Warriors had klunkers. That puts both Dallas and Phoenix at 50 wins. Seems to me those are the two teams we need to keep stumbling.

The Wolves are scheduled to lose tonight.
