I think it just has to do with he has had his two best years as of late, for me. It could be a anomaly or he's already past those two years, I suppose. He's bigger than Barea, so his ability to guard some guards would be slightly better even though JJ is not an awful perimeter defender by any stretch. He gets to the line slightly better but shoots a better percentage. He's not much better than Barea stat wise but I think eye test wise he looks a better fit for this team. His 3pt% is also about 4% better, which when shooting in volume over the course of a year would make a difference.
I think style wise it's just different, Jack is as much of a shooter as he is a penetrator, where JJ is looking to get into the teeth of the defense almost every time. I know JJ jacks up some 3's but thats where the difference really lies. Their roles are the same, and their stats are actually quite similar but I still feel, and maybe off of perception more than reality (who knows), that Jack is a better fit here.

Well, it's looking like nothing is going to happen for us this deadline. It's just about 3, and there haven't been any concrete rumors linking us to anyone. There's a chance that something could still happen after, I think you just have to have the deal agreed to by 3, but it's looking like chances are slim and we'll be rolling with JJ the rest of the way.

Disappointed we couldn't get Gary Neal. Looks like he's going to Charlotte with Ridnour.

Danny Granger for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen.
Rumors are that Philly might buy Granger out. Couldn't he then be able to sign anywhere? Would be a nice get.

"No platitudes please"
Sorry, couldn't help it
The last year is TWO years from now, rather than just one for Barea. Get back in the cab Bickle.

Explain your thought on this, I'm not sure what happened. How did Milwaukee get over?

1. Sessions and Adrien are having the best two seasons of the 4 players traded.
2. Sessions and Adrien are both expiring, where as Neal is not.
3. Neal has a history of complaining (does that history consist of once? Yes, but hasn't he only played on two teams?)
4. MIL didn't have to give up a pick for a guy they were clearly trying to dump.
The only thing I would have done differently if I was MIL was I would have steered those two expirings to SAC for some of their cap crap, SAC's 2nd and/or the right to swap 1st's. SAC is in trouble this summer.
