And you're wrong about that too. Paul Pierce was the man in Boston. KG was a fantastic No. 2. That's no disrespect to KG, though. Had we built around him properly, he could have been the main man on a title team. But let's give Pierce the credit he deserves.

Pierce: 22 PPG, 6 APG, 4.5 RPG, 43% FG, 39% 3P, 83% FT.

KG: 18 PPG, 13 RPG, 3 APG, 43% FG, 76% FT.

KG turned their defense into a giant, I get that. But when asking who "the man" was on that Boston team, the right answer is Paul Pierce. No disrespect to KG or Ray Allen.

Lol and? That team needed each of the Big 4 to be a championship team. That's not up for debate. Had any one of Pierce/KG/Allen/Rondo gone down, no ring would have been won.

true but Im thinking your thinking Pierce was the man because he was already there. To me it's the same with the heat. Wade might of been the man in Miami, but Lebron was always the better player

Throwing stats out the window on that Celtics team, KG was the most important player. Pierce took the ball in end of game situations yes, but Kg did everything well while sacrificing his own offensive numbers. I have no doubt he couldve been a 20 plus a game scorer but thats not what the team needed from him. They needed him to do everything else and he did so without bitching. Thats why I respect him so much.
