Then this trade sucks balls.

We should have gotten a big in the trade somehow. Clint Capela would have been perfect. They could have GR3 back if they wanted.

You're really overrating Capela.

I don't think so. I think he is a nothing player like Troy Daniel and GR3, but extremely long which we lack. I would have been happier with no picks and Tarik Black or Donatas Motiejunas

It's a bit underwhelming in terms of the assets coming back, but Corey isn't really going to help us get out of the abyss. I just think we will miss his attitude and effort.

I really hope Daniels sticks with us. We absolutely could use a 3-point specialist. We are by far the worst 3-point shooting team in the league. In fact, he and Bazz could make an interesting inside-outside wing pairing coming off the bench (that's assuming Martin gets healthy and gets re-inserted into the starting lineup along with Wiggins). What I don't know is how he defends.

Well, in terms of talent, you've got a point. But in terms of numbers, we're stacked there. Martin, LaVine, and GRIII are all SGs, and Bud and Shabbazz and Williams could/should all arguably play there as well as at the 3 and 1. Plus Daniels. That means we have 6 guys who can play the 2, and we just added a 7th. How many guys do we have who can play the 5? That's why I say we're stacked at the 2.

How many can actually "play" there though. I guess that's the question moving forward. Maybe the Wolves can figure out who looks like a legit player moving forward.

I'm ok with the trade. I mean...I'm not sure what people were expecting to come back. Brewer is a bench player on a really bad team. I admire his hustle and "can do" attitude. But, he wasn't part of the future, so yeah - let's free up more minutes for guys who might be our future core. Dumping Turiaf was also good so they can sign a big. I guess this is the classic "addition by subtraction" move.

The theme is disappointment around here. Lots of people down that we haven't achieved our potential to battle for a 500 record.

Corey was good enough to warrant a late first round pick or talent in my opinion. He's not overpaid either. He is one of the few role players on our teaming earning his deal. Getting second round talents and picks seemed like selling low to me. It wouldn't have been hard to salary dump him in the off season with his deal so a dump now doesn't make the most sense to me.

This was a favor to Corey in my eyes. I really just wanted enough to get rid of Bud too.

In all honesty, classifying positions at the wings is more nitpicky than anything. I don't want to debate this too far, but in MY opinion we have Martin, LaVine and now Daniels at SG. Robinson and Muhammad are definitely SFs to me. Budinger just needs to get traded at this point. He's a wasteful body on our roster. One could also argue that Wiggins is more a SG than a SF too, but again, see how how nitpicky it is.

PG: Rubio, Williams
SG: Martin, Daniels, LaVine
SF: Wiggins, Muhammad, Robinson, Budinger
PF: Young, Bennett, Adrien, Hummel
C: Pekovic, Dieng

That's how I could classify positions without mentioning guys that can play two positions (LaVine, Wiggins, Young, etc).

Early second round picks are better than late first
