Bud gets the last shot? I'm not watching but was the play called for him?

Pretty clear screen action to get Bud open. He got up a good shot, but he is not shooting well enough to warrant that play.

Thad also looks like he forgot how to shoot a basketball during his time off. He looks extremely uncomfortable shooting from anywhere on the court.

That loss is on Flip. Drew up the last shot for Bud in regulation when Bud is just not shooting well this year. Plays Bennett instead of Adrien in OT to guard Montiejunas who was just too big and strong for Bennett to man up. Harden didn't even play in the OT because he fouled out and we still managed to lose. I'm seriously starting to question Flip's coaching. He seems to overly punish the young guys (Bazz didn't even see the floor in OT and a lot of the fourth when he was our best scoring option) and he gives the vets way too much rope (Bud did nothing in this game to warrant being in the game for the final shot).

Damn, that would have been a nice win, and especially gratifying since Harden fouled his ass out of the game. And I'm tired of his stupid beard and hipster persona. I'll take Jimmy Butler over him every day of the week!

But alas, the decision making by our young guys killed us. Zach's numbers ended up being decent, but once again, he took some extremely ill-advised shots. And when Wiggins was posting up in OT, his man was giving him a ton of room toward the baseline. All he had to do was take a drop-step baseline and it would have been a layup or dunk. Instead he kept wanting to turn to the middle.

I'll give Flip credit for giving Bennett, Wiggins, and LaVine the keys to the game in OT. But in the end, they just didn't make the right decisions.

Yeah, the play for Budinger was especially curious. It's one thing if he had been in the game and made a few shots leading up to that point. But I think he was brought in cold off the bench. WTF!?

I also thought Adrien should have been brought in for Bennett, but Bennett actually held his own against Montiejunas.

Tough loss, but a lot of positives to take out of that game. We are missing our three best players and still went toe to toe with a Western Conference powerhouse.

The last play drawn up for Bud was questionable, but as Jim Pete said if Bud had made that it might have kick started his season. Unfortunately he didn't and it will probably have the opposite effect.

At this stage we have to bite the bullet and cut Turiaf. We have one healthy PG, who is a Rookie and plays better off the ball and one healthy Center who is a sophomore. You have to start worrying when Corey Brewers your back up PG and Dieng is the only healthy guy on the roster over 6' 7".

I read an article today that said the wolves are the worst team in the league "after a timeout". They were over 12pts worse coming off a timeout versus their normal half court offense per 100 possessions. Not hard to see why!

Chase taking a fadeaway 22 footer, and Jim Petersen thinks it was a good shot. The fact that he actually called Dieng out for not setting a screen just shows how clueless he is. That looks like something Adelman would have drawn up last season. Does anyone care what making the shot might have done for Bud? Shouldn't we be more worried about what a win might have done for the team as a whole?

How do you not have Shabazz, Wiggins and Lavine involved in those final shots. How about getting something going toward the basket so if you miss, you might draw a foul. Wouldn't Bennett have been a better option to take the shot Young had at the end?

Exactly. Are we really worried about Bud's confidence over the youngsters? I was baffled to see Bud out there and not Shabazz getting the opportunity.
