On the D-league the NBA has been working on the league for years and I think the league wants it to be a true minor league system as much as fans do. Its convincing owners to do it and finding places it would be most finacially viable cause you know it comes down to money. I think Flip see's the upside to it but he really seems like he wants the team to nbe pretty close to the Wolves based on his comments. So I think he is trying to get a really good situation worked up. Maybe Glen decides to do it in Mankato or something but I want a true Wolves d-league affiliate BAD. It sucks we are sharing onew with like 20 other teams or whatever. You have little control over trhe coaching or play. They will probably get some good run but who knows what they will work on benefit from. You aren't hands on developing them. It sucks.

Dieng may be older but bigs have developed late or that's been said a lot. Dieng seemed to play a smart game in college so I think there is upside there still. I think its going to take some time especially with post defense. What a lot of people are saying in this thread is exactly why I've been saying keep Pek its gonna help both guys to have each other both for game impact and practice. Think about it if Dieng can learn to hold his ground against Pek after practicing against him that shoukd be good and for Pek playing against a lengthly shotblocking defender won't be a bad thing.
