I'll stand by it, anybody can put up shots and score. I would rather have an athletic defensive Favors than love. Just like many on this board would rather have an athletic defensive wiggins than love

I think that this may have been mentioned in that Onion article.

I haven't heard anyone say they wanted Wiggins over Love. They are on board the trade because Love is expected to leave. There is a big difference there.

Love would certainly be more likely to take a little less if Lebron was doing the same. You might recall a situation like that in Miami a few years back.

Lebron would have take the mid level or vet minimum for the Cavs to sign Love to the max as a FA

Not even close. If the cap is over 66 like the estimates say, they could already have close to 15 mil available by simply renouncing guys not under contract (Thompson, Varajao, etc.).

I'll agree to disagree I think a lot of people here would do a love for wiggins trade straight up if they could given the talent/salaries attached

Question, was Stephen asshole Smith saying the Wolves were wrong to turn down that deal?

They are over the cap now, next year Kyrie's deal kicks in. They still would have cap holds on all their draft picks next year. They would have wiggins and bennett at 5 a piece.

So ok Kyrie at 15, 2 rookies at 10, cap holds of like 8, miller at 2.5, Waiters at 4, plus Loves 20. So like 59 mil.

So ok they could give Lebron 7-8 million. He ain't doing that

Anybody can put up shots and score? He's the first player in NBA history to record 2,000 points, 900 rebounds and 100 3-pointers in a single season. His numbers place him in a group with seven Hall of Fame talents, including Wilt, Baylor, Kareem and Barkley. This isn't your regular top scorer on a bad team. This is an efficient, big time scorer who contributes on the glass and in facilitating the offense, while being an above average three-point shooter. They don't make those every century. There are guys like Derrick Favors every draft (Noah Vonleh this year). So you can stand by it all you want to. Just know that it's an absolutely absurd statement to make.
