Okc wont do it. Ibaka for love, maybe but not ibaka and westbrook. Asis is not on the level of ibaka to make okc consider it.

They can't deal Ibaka for Love. The $ difference is too much. Also, Ibaka is a better fit for OKC.

OKC is not an option as a trading partner. They don't need Love. In fact, they don't need to make any drastic changes. It's their bench that is a problem.

Yes, they can afford it for 1 year and that is it. Love will then be up for a bigger contract.

OKC saves money in this trade both short and long-term. Saying they can't afford it is completely false.

You have them dealing Westbrook which is preposterous.

And they are getting a player back who is as good or better.

David Thorpe has been floating a smaller deal similar to this for about a year with just NOP, HOU, and MIN involved. With Asik to MIN, Pek to NOP, and Anderson to HOU.

The pieces all seem to fit but through the year all of the players wound up damaged goods. Tough for any of the execs to take on the incoming player between Anderson & Pek's injury woed and Asik being due an absurd amount of money.
