Despite Pelfrey trying to give the lead away, Twins up 4-3 after five innings. Leaving his breaking pitches up, though. Be on alert of a traditional Pelfrey choke.

There it is. Leadoff hit to Meyers. HBP to the following batter. Two on no out. Thankfully Gardy yanked him, but now the reliever has a tough spot.

Yeah, doesn't look steady at all. His D hasn't helped him out, but the sixth inning is all on him.
Your lineup looks potent, but everything I hear is that it's a lock that Buxton leads off. He's going to be the fastest guy in the majors, and they want that OBP and speed at the top of the lineup. There's going to be plenty of pop in the middle of the lineup with Sano, Arcia, Colabello, Pinto and Plouffe.

I agree he'll probably bat leadoff, but I've always believed in having your best overall hitter in the 3-hole. That's where I'd have him. Dozier's shown he's a pretty good leadoff man as well.
Could go: Buxton, Mauer, Plouffe, Sano, Colabello, Dozier, Pinto, Santana, Hicks.
Either way, that's not pretty to opposing pitchers.

Good for Pelfrey. Another outing where he's confirmed he sucks. At this point, any time Pelfrey gets a lead, you can just feel that he's gonna give it away. 6'7" but still always comes up short.

Only 69 days till July 2 and Alex Meyer call up :)

I can't wait that long. I'd rather let Deduno or Duensing start over Pelfrey. Hell, does Eduardo Escobar have a change piece?

I'm an Arcia fan, and think he's going to put Hicksy on the bench. I'd probably go like this:
Buxton
Mauer
Arcia
Sano
Colabello
Pinto
Plouffe
Dozier (or Rosario)
Santana

I share your optimism, jester, and I know we're going to score a lot of runs. But it seems a little cocky of us to only bat 8 guys :)
