Lineup of the future? (Shabazz has his question marks, but I could see this)

I've finally had a chance to watch Stauskas a bit. Meh. I'm not sure he's ready to be an NBA starter anytime soon.

Q, not to mention he has quick hands (steals, rips) for a big. What can't this guy do with a little seasoning?

I'm assuming you are talking about Dieng and not Stuaskas :)

Yeah, I made a thread a few weeks ago comparing Gorgui's potential defensively to that of Ben Wallace. Some folks objected based on body type, but that's not what I was getting at. No big in the NBA had such a unique combination of shot blocking, steals, and rebounding ability as Ben Wallace (except may be Hakeem). Well, Gorg's seems to have that rare combination of skills as well. Plus he can pass. Plus he's knocking down shots!

I don't even remember. It was one of Big Ten tournament games I believe. I think he's a decent shooter on the catch, but I'm not so sure how good he'll be off the dribble in the NBA.

Nba center who can those? Andre deummond is one of them. The guy can board, block shots and steals as well. Dieng can be like that as well. We have a small sample size from him but i like what im seeing from G.

Yeah, good point on Drummond. He's also a monster around the rim. Dieng can't power through contact and finish like Drummond. On the other hand, Dieng can pass and his FT shooting is improving. Drummond reminds me a bit of DeAndre Jordan in that he can dunk a lot, but otherwise isn't very versatile on offense and can be a liability late in games if teams put him at the line.

Q mentioned how hard he jumps up on the pick and roll and then how quickly he retreats. There was one in the 2nd half where he looked like a wing the way he moved his feet. In fact I had to check twice to make sure it was him. He is very fun to watch and I love what Peterson said about how he acts like he's done it before. Maybe there is hope after all guys.

Drummond is much better offensively and overall as player than deandre though. He has that little hook and some post moves. I would say deandre jordan is a poor man version of drummond. Both are liabilities at the line though. Thats were dieng is an advantage. He can hit his fts and jumpshots and can pass the ball for a big as well. He needs to get stronger and maintain his quickness. He can be a quality starting center in the league for sure. Love g's demeanor as well.
