I think it’s hard for the wolves to get guys at the moment due to the lack of roster spots and 1 of the 2-way contracts going to be taken up (I’m assuming Garza). Right now the wolves have 11 of their 15 roster spots filled (with Naz,Naw, Miller and Clark) all having the inside track to getting those last 4 roster spots. So I would be thinking if I’m an agent even if my client balls out in SL it’s going to be very hard to get a long term NBA contract, so I would personally rather go somewhere else unfortunately

Looking at the roster I have a few general thoughts.

It’s a young roster with Theo John the oldest guy and he hasn’t turned 25 yet. Same for Brian Bowen who seems like he has been around for quite a while but doesn’t turn 25 till October. Miller is the youngest Spagnolo is the 3rd youngest he doesn’t turn 21 till January of 2024.

Brandon Williams who played some games for Portland a couple seasons ago is the only guy listed under 6’2” Q mentioned DJ Carton as a guy to watch and he is right both in terms of overall talent and athletic ability. He isn’t quite Isaiah Miller athletic but there is potential for some highlight reel moments from him for sure. Can he hit 3’s?

Trevion Williams Was a pretty good rebounder last year in the G league grabbing almost 9 per game in just over 20mpg. Phillip Wheeler who is more of a wing averaged over 4.5 rebounds a game in just over 18th when he played for Iowa. That’s kinda intriguing.

Ha, I might have successfully cut the same deal with my gal last night...3 days in Vegas with a game each day (2 Wolves games and one Spurs), but the rest of the time lounging around the pool at Bellagio with the cocktail flag up. I'll be posting my GoFundMe page today...

I just saw that Friday Summer League is sold out...never seen that happen before! I assume it is because the NBA world is clamoring to see the 1:30 opening game between our Wolves and New Orleans, but it also might have something to do with the 6pm game ;) . Anyway, I'm glad I got my tickets early. I think Cox Pavilion will be pretty empty for the Wolves game, but we'll get to Thomas and Mack early for the Scoot/Wemby back to back...should be fun!

Good stuff. Years ago the summer league was kind of an obscure offseason event, but over the last decade its grown in popularity and prominence, as you yourself have witnessed! Have fun!

Sometimes I think we can actually see things better on the court when we're watching on TV! But you also pick up on things in the arena that you don't catch on TV. Both of the Wolves games I'm going to are at cozy Cox Pavilion, so I should be able to get up close to the action (not so for the San Antonio games though). It will be fun to see how our guys interact both on the court and on the bench, and I'll be reporting back.

Oh, oh...bad move. I think he plays though...NBA won't disappoint a full house.

Ha, headline: "NBA offseason frenzy Collides with Pop Culture".

FNG, I hear Paris Hilton is on the prowl too. Be careful out there!
