WW, how does the fan base feel about the heavy minutes played by the starters? I know Bridges spoke up recently about getting the reserves more minutes.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 8:57 pmLess pressure?Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 5:42 pmContext matters. Ju's certainly been terrible in the playoffs before, but it's still a relatively small sample size. I believe he was hurt one of those years too, but played through it. I think he has a chance to turn it around. While KAT who has a larger track record of failures likely won't. New scenery for both which I don't think really helps KAT as the NY media will switch on him quick, while we're MN nice. Less pressure here for Ju.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 4:46 pm
so KAT sucks when the games really matter, yet you'd rather have the big man who is worse when the games really matter?
I don't think Randle is experiencing anything different in Minnesota than he did in NY. Randle had a love/hate relationship with NY, but fans did appreciate his toughness. Wolves fans regardless of how they feel about Randle, love Naz more and that's gonna come to a head this summer, especially if Randle's a contributing factor as why Naz isn't here. So far in year 1, KAT hasn't gotten too much criticism. They hate that he isn't better defensively, but to a man they feel he's doing what he was brought to do. Bridges has been more of the whipping boy so far (Hart to a lesser extent). Thibs has gotten some criticism for not involving KAT more in certain situations. They still miss DiVincenzo greatly.

They're not happy at all with Thibs regarding the PT. Granted, their depth isn't like ours, but Thibs simply doesn't wanna use anyone outside of his guys. Fans wouldn't mind Kolek getting more time, but Thibs is resistant.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 9:59 pmWW, how does the fan base feel about the heavy minutes played by the starters? Like I said, Bridges has been more of the whipping boy because they gave up so many picks. Regardless of how KAT performs, nobody is missing Randle. DiVincenzo is a different story, but right now, if Bridges doesn't perform, he'll be the one fans pile on, not KAT.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 9:11 pmJust wait for the playoffs when KAT flops.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 8:57 pmLess pressure?Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 5:42 pm

Watch. You'll see shit defense, foul trouble or fouling out and or shit shooting. Maybe all 3 at the same time. They're going to tear him up.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 10:41 pmLike I said, Bridges has been more of the whipping boy because they gave up so many picks. I saw some rumblings that Sabonis might request a trade this offseason. I say "forget KD, go for Sabonis"!
I'm not sure what it would take, but if TC thought he had the pieces to get a KD deal done, why not Sabonis?

Re: KAT trade revisited
Because Randle/Detroit 1st/Dillingham doesn't get it done.
Re: KAT trade revisited
I did too.
I love KAT, and his commitment to MIN, but the second apron is not a joke. Towns has also missed so many games over the last five years - more than Embiid!
If Towns stays healthy, he’s worth his contract. If he has an extended injury, he becomes one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Connelly decided he didn’t want to put his chips on that bet. I suspect NYK was the team that wanted KAT most, and offered the most.
Re: KAT trade revisited
Embid has missed about 40 more games over the last five years. As far as Connelly not wanting to put his chips on Towns, it is odd that he was apparently in on KD who has missed over 50 games more than KAT over the last five, and is also 7 years older while making an extra mil per year.shrink wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 1:46 pm

I maybe wrong, but aren't we still in the second apron?
Re: KAT trade revisited
You have to look at the life of Towns contract which increases and will make it all too easy to stay in the second apron and accrue penalties.mjs34 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 3:42 pmEmbid has missed about 40 more games over the last five years. Re: KAT trade revisited
I would vote yes if the big market whistle was included in the trade!
