He's funny, a lot of players would gladly take the rest of the night off. Not Ant.

A we want Rob chant has broken out and the bench is very aware of it.

Ok. Wolves win.

It’s the kind of game they think every bad team should have against us. Awful offensive basketball until the end, but the defense was spectacular. This is the night Rudy caught everything and just went up. Almost a 20/20 game. He coulda had whatever he wanted. He was feeling it and it took the team too long to realize it.

Ant had a sneaky 28. When the offense was so putrid you don’t realize how quick Ant can put points up. The ankle roll was scary because normally Ant pops up, but he went to the locker room. I didn’t stress it. It’s gonna take more than Jordi’s foot to take him out.

The Nets simply lacked talent. Good teams would have made Minnesota pay in the first half, but they lacked execution. I root for those guys. Jordi will be a real good coach.

D’Lo with a goose egg. Wow.

Fans in our section wanted to see Rob. The sector above us began the chant and Naz looks up like “are you guys serious?” The rest of the bench is laughing. He finally got in and everyone was happy. He shoulda got some time earlier when the offense needed a jolt.

Donte. Yeesh. Awful night and he was pissed. He was miserable on that bench. A kid asked for his towel and that kinda eased his mood. Still, forgettable game for him.

The game honestly felt ho-hum. The Nets were always close enough where a run could get them real close but it never felt real enough to where it was gonna happen. The Wolves just had to push the right button and mostly they did.

The MVP of this game was me for showing up. But this was the most Wolves fans I’d ever seen at Barclays besides the draft. Ant jerseys, KG, KAT, Rob, a Naz Reid towel, Luka, Love, Wiggins, a Brandon Roy jersey sighting. We were there. Good to see A-Rod and Lore out there supporting.

Next up: Philly, just win baby.

Thanks for delivering the win for us, WW! It's been fun to watch Rudy take his game to a level we haven't seen in his time here. His new focus on offensive rebounds has rejuvenated him. Both centers went 9 for 10 from the field (Rudy blocked Claxton's one miss), but Rudy outrebounded Nik 18-6! Rudy playing like he has the past two weeks is going to be huge for us in the playoffs.

But more significant was the appearance of "playoff Ant" last night. Ant can get up for big games, but often sleepwalks against teams like the undermanned Nets. Not last night. In my opinion, he has been the worst defender of our starters all season (yes, I have him behind Mike, and the stats support this), but last night he was locked in on defense from the first minute. And combine that playoff defense with efficient offense, and you get a rare game-high plus/minus from Ant at +17. This team can be successful in the playoffs if Rudy and Ant are locked in like this.

But it would be nice to get Jaden going too. We noticed his uninspired defense most of the night last night, and after a while, so did Finchie. He called a timeout and chewed Jaden out after a below average offensive player blew by him. We need a Jaden that crashes the boards and plays elite defense. Any offense he provides will just be the cherry on top.

Finally there's DLo. I wonder if he's ever had a game where he had more turnovers than combined points, assists, rebounds, steals and blocks! Hard to believe TC was able to unload him for Mike, NAW and three second round picks!
