I'm not trying to be too optimistic but still got a chance to win this game if the defense can still keep them in this game.

Defense with a really good 3 and out there. Can the offense do something with good field position?

Just thinking the same thing. Need a score now.

I know the defender was free sacking JJ on that one play, but you either have to see/feel him coming, just take the sack and not fumble. Then the overthrow. He's having a bad game. 6 sacks too, but I think most are Oline failures.

Learning experience.

I think I was being a homer thinking we could win 12 games. Looks like 9.

We are down 7 starters though. I just knew that would cost us. Hard to win being down a third of your starters.

Yeah, not much a rookie could do on that play. I'm more concerned about the 3 or 4 times JJ nearly lost control of the ball earlier in the game without even getting hit...very weird.

Dijon Robinson is really good, but we made him look even better tonight.

On behalf of the Minnesota and Atlanta football clubs, I apologize to all NFL fans for a dreadfully dull football game.

He was bumbling and stumbling a bit. I mean bad oline/great dline play has made Brady throw 4 picks before and lose SB's to with undefeated teams. You got to win up front, I don't care who the QB is.

It just might be shit for another month or two. Can't rush Darrisaw back either, got to play the long game. If we give up pressure then it's more learning. I think I saw they had 61% pressure in the first half??? Like what, I think 30% is about NFL avg. You can't be that poor and win.

Let's be honest before the season and I told you about all the guys that were out the first 2 games and we are 1-1 I think most people would take it. Has the offense looked meh at nest for 6-7 quarters? Yes has the defense bumbled some? Yeah. Have they looked pretty good without being full strength yet? Yeah. As good as Robinson was tonight they kept the Vikings in this game and again that was without 3 high end starters.

If you aren't sold in McCarthy he didn't do much in this game to make you believe. Still I'm not exactly freaking out either. All that stuff that was supposed to be set up for him to succeed...it hasn't all been present yet and even under genius O'Connell the offense has had slow starts to start seasons. They need to get healthy and get some things going.

Yeah, the injuries on the OLine certainly hurt us. And I agree the defense is probably going to be fine. But my concerns about McCarthy grew last night. Yes, he was pressured a lot, but I think some of than was because Atlanta wasn't concerned he would make quick reads and hurt them if they brought pressure. Again, I didn't watch JJ in college, but I'm guessing he didn't see all that much pressure with defenses worrying more about the run game. And then what the heck was happening with all the times he lost control of the ball momentarily for no apparent reason. It was very odd.

McCarthy has now played 8 quarters...one was very good, and seven were not. Not a good start to his career. But just like I said the jury is still out after all the exuberance after the Bears' win, I have to say it's still out after a bad performance last night. He's young and inexperienced, and he will get better. The question is: will he get better enough to become good enough to win in the NFL. I've been a JJ skeptic since we drafted him, but I have to admit I like his leadership. I just hope his skill level rises to the level of his leadership qualities. I'm not freaking out either, but my concern level is high.

KOC was a fucking clown with his head in his ass too. No TO on the one or two yard line (ref blocking snap play) and why not just run it on 1st down and goal there also? Then the punt with 4th and one in the fourth quarter down two scores (9 points) in the fourth? I'm still baffled how that makes sense.

Had KOC coached a good game we actually could have won. He was terrible.

Considering all the injuries, yeah you can't account for that so 1-1 is fine. Still disappointed though because the games get much tougher on paper in a few weeks.

My real hope for this team was to win a playoff game this season (SB always seemed unrealistic to me). Maybe we get guys back and get rolling in the second half of the year. Seems like a long ways to go to be a playoff winner right now.

Every QB in the NFL from Mahomes to Brady has looked like shit before under big pressure, so I'm not concerned about one game. I am concerned that we won't block well enough to get him going anytime soon though. I think it's probably hard to develop when you are running for your life on most plays.
