I learned a lot today listening to Ben Beeckens podcast about the Wolves defense. He dug into some deep metrics about where we are struggling on defense. Last year we ranked very high on defending pick and rolls and dribble handoffs...this year we rank in the bottom three. Last year we ranked in the top five in defending these two areas, and specifically NAW and Jaden ranked near the top. But this year NAW is gone (yes, we should have kept him instead of Naz) and Jaden isn't defending point of attack nearly as much. We can't so anything about NAW, and I think we like what Jaden is doing in his new role. So Ben said the answer is more Clark...he's the closest thing we have to NAW in defending PnR and dribble handoff. I don't know that we need him tonight against the Kings, but we need him for 25 minutes against the Nuggets.
